I don’t think you understand yet what was probably happening. The military guys with zip ties were letting the selfie morons breach the barricades as the first wave. Their plans were almost certainly more sinister.
That Secret Service guy may have saved an ugly hostage situation we’d still be in right now. He was 100% in the right to shoot her. She saw the gun and calculated she wouldn’t be shot even though she was the first wave of a planned bloody coup.

I’ve seen reports that the Capitol Police has 2,000 members. At most yesterday it looked like maybe a few hundred at the Capitol. Were the rest just not on duty and if so, why the hell not?
