Day 1 of 1. Its over, he “conceded”. Zero crowds today imo.
Dems are seriously falling back to talking about impeachment and the 25th Amendment. As if we haven’t spent the past four years establishing how worthless all that shit is.
The phrasing “good shoot” is kind of repulsive. At least to me anyway. Makes me cringe every time you write it. (But I agree with you that the shooting was justified, and probably necessary to prevent the chambers from being overrun.)
Fair enough. That’s a justified use of the appropriate level of force to hold off an invasion.
A week ago, even after all the insanity of the last 4 years, I would have bet heavily that this could absolutely never happen, but that if it did, people who broke into Congress, carried guns INTO THE MOTHERFUCKING CONGRESSIONAL CHAMBERS and didn’t even bother to wear masks to disguise themselves would be killed, or imprisoned at an absolute minimum.
Watching them just waltz back out with zero consequences of any kind was infuriating. They didn’t even clear out the building for like 3 hours. Such a fucking disgrace.
I wouldn’t take credit like that if I were you.
I know some were worried about the legitimacy of the shooting
But if this girl was running up on the president or Vice President outside and got shot 20 feet from them
Well
That’s what’s supposed to happen. We want cops to shoot people when they are threatening the lives of our top gov officials
Even if it is pence or trump.
I never said it was a bad shoot and that’s not what I was implying. In fact, it was the opposite!
What do you think they should do? Specifically.
-
Good for the Secret Service. Fuck around and find out. That door was clearly the zero barrier. Anyone crossing it was getting shot.
-
Fuck those cops. The one cop looks legit terrified. This job ain’t for you dickhead. Go flip burgers or something.
Right. This is going to lead to hundreds of years in federal prison for these idiots. You get ten years in prison, you get ten years in prison, you get ten years in prison. Hope your selfie was worth it, idiot.
You sure about that?
Roughly as sure as I was about Trump not getting elected. So yes, very confident.
I doubt the jackoff with the podium even serves 10 days.
That’s a good story from the Brits but it fails to ask the question of why. Do they want another tax cut that badly? Ron Brownstein of the Atlantic made a good point in the early morning hours. He said Republicans in office and their constituents are seeing the demographics turning against them. They’re seeing white control over things fading away. So when faced with preserving democracy or keeping their power, they choose to keep their power.
