If I were to run off a list of reasons why the USA is the stupidest country on the planet, the obsession with standing with your hand over your heart to the National Anthem would be up there (but a fair bit behind the millions of guns, paying tens of thousands for healthcare and having to demand billions of dollars from supporters if you run for president).
That said, the video of Trump larking around during the anthem really ought to be a killer for him. And the fact that his supporters won’t so much as flinch at it tells you everything you need to know about how fucked your country really is right now.
I listened mostly to Lars Larson. I don’t even remember what his positions were, probably because I was too ignorant to even identify them, but I appreciated what seemed to me a willingness to engage in a respectful and good-faith debate with callers, whereas people like Savage and Rush were such obvious trolls that I couldn’t stand more than a few seconds.

IIRC Rush tried to be a football commentator but got fired after about 5 minutes for saying something stupid about how black quarterbacks couldn’t be successful. What a dumbass.
The video was included in an Instagram story by a real estate agent for a Russian-American firm who frequents Mar-a-Lago and other Trump properties and events.

We can’t reason with them, and we can’t shame most of them because they are too stupid. But there is a small percentage of these clowns that would at least recognize that THIS is embarrassing.
Imagine how stupid you have to be to have a license for bribery and unlimited corruption as President of the United States and think this small. He’s selling out America like $100k at a time.
They don’t give a shit about the anthem. It was never about disrespecting the anthem. They were upset about protesting while black. Nothing is more offensive to conservative values than proposing changing the racial hierarchy, and Trump isn’t doing that in that video.
Just so strange for a group of people who shout “the consequences wouldn’t be so bad if people would just play by the rules” to then stan for a guy breaking all of their rules.
