I assume “father of the roadside bomb” is something concocted by the right-wing derposphere this week? Or perhaps out of thin air for that tweet?

Two service members killed by a roadside IED today in Afghanistan. Good thing we got rid of that bomb’s dad.

I mean that guy was in charge of the Iranian irregular warfare department basically. So yeah a lot of the explosives used to kill our troops, and the training on how to use those explosives, likely came from Iran (and he was in charge of the department that did that).

Calling the guy a terrorist isn’t really accurate because blowing up US troops in foreign countries isn’t terrorism. If you use the word terrorism to describe any attack on our troops anywhere in the world for any reason it loses all meaning. He was the general on the other side of multiple proxy wars between the US and Iran. We killed an awful lot of his people and they killed some of us back. One of the worst aspects of calling our wars in the Middle East ‘the war on Terrorism’ is that it automatically labels all of our enemies terrorists thus removing the very negative connotations that are quite rightfully attached to terrorists.

One man’s freedom fighter is another mans terrorist is by and large a true statement. I’ve always felt that the definition of terrorism was targeting civilian populations in peacetime to cause political change through fear. 9/11 = terrorism, an IED in Iraq after we invaded the country is not terrorism. Killing a bunch of civilians in Iraq is also not terrorism, not because it’s better, but because I have to draw the line somewhere… and if we’re defining terrorism as acts of war on civilians the US is a huge state sponsor of terrorism. We’ve bombed so many civilians during wartime it’s actually kind of crazy. Often on purpose.

What If I invested my 100 on the day Trump got inaugurated?

At this point I’m really done pretending to be surprised that Trump has lied about something. Someone wake me up when he tells the truth. News = man bites dog, or even more improbably Trump tells truth.

You’d have bout tree fiddy

Talking about the character of the guy is accepting the asshole’s premise: that it is alright for the US to drone people we aren’t at war with on our allies territory.

That’s the beauty of Cinethrax baby!

Meh, the objectionable part of that tweet isn’t really “father of the roadside bomb”. It’s “Dems can’t help defending Soulimani because they love terrorists”.

Am I the only one who thinks Lincoln Project isn’t a very good name for a presidential opposition group?

Or is it?
