Normally rooting for a straight oligarch like Bloomberg is hard… but this is where I can’t help myself.
She’s in a bulletproof district who is in NEVER EVER in any danger of losing her election unless she decides to try and move to the Senate or something. If she tried in 2/3rds of congressional districts following that message she’d be going back to being whatever she was previously employed as. It’s brave to be an “example” when your next job description is out of a fucking job.

Lol there are plenty of folks in safe districts who are not doing what she’s doing
Eh. AOC is pretty special. I’m pretty confident she could win a purple district. She’d change her messaging for sure though. It would be very district specific and she’d be hammering away at whatever awful bullshit was happening on the ground.
When she debated her establishment opponent she fucked him up by calling out the bad real estate deals he’d helped get done. Those happen everywhere and the anti corruption message plays everywhere. Authenticity is incredibly overpowered. If you’re authentically trying to make your constituents lives better they can generally tell. The problem is that most high ranking politicians absolutely aren’t.
The AOC strategy only works if you commit to it. It’s not an option for the people who plan to cash in, which is basically all of them.

I thought he was saying you were wrong.

6 months for helping to undermine democracy and betray the country he had sworn to defend. While some poor schmuck is doing life for his 3rd strike, roped off for some petty bullshit.
How much money did Flynn make in all this? Gotta be worth it.
Meh - there are dogshit dems all over the place in “safe districts” doing fuck all except cashing checks (Chuck Schumer, for one) I admire AOC for a bunch of her stances, but she’s sitting in the perfect seat where she’s NEVER losing her district. If you’re sitting 52-48 in 2020, maybe you’re not so brave.
I was more referencing the dems navel-gazing over slicing and dicing tiny slivers of the electorate and somehow baking a perfect dish where everyone gets each thing they want and they magically cobble together a perfect candidate, where even the crossdressing left-handed vegisexual voter feels loved. And they lose again, which I’d rather not have to go through. Pound on fairness, opportunity and stuff like that.
Or maybe I’m old and wrong - it’s certainly possible. But I’d REALLY like to win in 2020.

I read yesterday that a Saudi minister was on his way to visit Trump. On reuters, I think. Maybe she should do her job rather than read press releases and figure that’s all there is to know.

If Pelosi caves and sends articles over with no agreement on witnesses…
Team lawbrow has been taking a lot of Ls recently, so I’ll give 'em a teeny tiny w…
AOC has to fight a primary battle, though. idk how safe that is if centrist Dems want a go at her seat.
LDO!!! This is a good point,
but you know, there are so many garbagey middle of the road pols who are scared of anyone who has to pay anyone a wage…Not just corporations but small businesses.
It’s all about selfish assholes.
You wanna bet?
Wait a minute. She was a huge upset to win in her district. Republicans aren’t the only competition. It’s only bulletproof now for her because she’s so damn awesome.
