I feel like there is conflicting information about the goodness of the Judge Leon ruling. While it doesn’t set a precedent or supersede rulings setting immunity, seems like the judge just said this issue is not currently an issue so I am dismissing it. If it becomes an issue then it will be decided.
The reason why that particular case is a non-issue lies in the fact both sides were asking for the same outcome, the dismissal of the suit.
