The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode VI: No Witnesses, One Defector, No Checks or Balances

How is that even remotely legal or constitutional?

I know you wouldn’t.

There are like 5 people living on the street in Manhattan Beach and a fair number of people are ready to incinerate them. Not everyone. There were recently a couple threads on Nextdoor - one about a guy traveling on a bike with two dogs and his bike was broken and lots of people got together to help him out. Another about a homeless man who died and some people were upset and they took care of his dog. But, there are a lot of people who at best think that homeless people need to be shipped off somewhere and hopefully taken care of.

I lived in Berkeley for years though and had plenty of close contact to people living on the street right outside where I lived. It’s not like there are never problems, but people living in houses cause problems too.

They will find a way. They’ll definitely try to anyway. It starts by making things like sitting on the sidewalk or sleeping in public illegal.

As expected this article is mostly a bunch of pointless horseshit comparing Trump to an average baseline but not including any direct overall comparisons with other recent past presidents. But it’s obvious Trump didn’t read past the title because it includes this:

Trump’s third year is above average, but not the best of any past president. In 2013, former President Barack Obama’s stock market returned more than 32%, as the economy bounced back from the Great Recession.

Someone made a disparaging comment on NextDoor about a person who lives in the washes nearby and almost every comment was pillorying the OP. I was briefly proud of my neighborhood but there are plenty of conversations where I’d be in the minority viewpoint.

I think this is the point where vestigial support for the Syrian ‘Revolution’ is totally abandoned in favour of bigging up a Turkish occupation. No particular change in reality, I’m just marking the rhetorical evolutions of US policy.

What does Juston Timberlake have to do with any of this? Oh, you just don’t know how to spell Trudeau? Got it.

They pulled the michael jackson Simpsons episode for the same reason, and it’s not because of trade policy

The same reason the Cosby show reruns don’t run all the time anymore. People are uncomfortable watching a known rapist walk around like he’s not a total scumbag.
