My belgian would have been in full-on guard dog mode as soon as she walked up on us. She was completely intolerant of humans exhibiting sneaky or aggressive behavior and would have given absolutely no shits about the ball.
Seems staged?
Likely. My dog would have seen her coming and wouldn’t have let her get within 20 feet of me. Sweetest dog ever, but super alert and ready to instantly turn into a badass whenever needed. These dogs didn’t look triggered at all and mine would have attacked her once she threw the bottle.
I was dog sitting a German Shepherd once and he pushed me aside to get to the guy at the door like I was a toddler. He wasn’t in full attack mode or the guy would have been toast. That was on me. I learned my lesson.
The belgians in that video were probably 55-65 lbs, but their undercoat and long top coat make them look huge. Mine was 65 and carried the weight in her chest and could hold her own wresling with way bigger dogs. I figured dog park girl’s dog must have gotten abused by his dogs because they play extremely rough. My aussie mix would chase other dogs and my belgian would lag behind a few feet and take an angle as soon as the dog they were chasing made a cut. This would cause the dog to tumble and the aussie would put an exclamation point on the chase by running it over as it tried to get back to its feet. That was pretty much the start of every dog park visit and they would calm down play nice the rest of the time.
ETA-my dogs would barge past me to go welcome whoever was at the door.
Too much excitement for me. I learned stranger at door-> dog goes in kennel → see wtf is up at the door. It wasn’t my house and the owner told me to expect the guy or I wouldn’t have answered. Fortunately no real harm done although pretty sure the guy tells a better version of the story.
I can’t even tell what is supposed to be happening here.
I know the breed and could see being approached by an angry dog owner who just watched my dogs abuse hers. Their play style can be accurately described as rude and that’s where my mind went when I saw it. That said, I’d say this one is 100% fake.
If she throws that ball, my dog is gone.
Anyone have an easier way to share videos? I’m too lazy to try and change the quality but even a 15s video is 32MB which is more than what’s allowed by the upload tool
Streamable
would be super cool if a month later I could stop having dreams about my now dead cats.
My dog passed 9 years ago, and I still occasionally wake up in a panic that I haven’t taken him out or fed him in too long
Time to adopt some litter mates
yeah its coming for sure. Vacation out of country next month and then more cats. Being petless for the first time in 20 years is quite the adjustment.
I was going to ask if you had a pet fence but then I zoomed in and saw that deadly predator in hiding.
He brought in 2 live cicadas last night, all proud. Fluttering around making a racket
