sooooo, playoff bound?
kinda bullshit canada division having 7 teams.
And here we go again!
Drop the Puck!
So the Kracken are still not playing? I don’t know anything about hockey, but I need something to watch after the NFL is over since I never leave my house. I guess I could root for Philly this year because I’m there now.
Theyre in next year. Their expansion draft will be after the season is over.
Sid still has it.
Ok, so Boston and New Jersey played a two game series. Each team won a game in overtime. The Rangers and the Islanders played a two game series. Each team won a game in regulation. So now both Boston and New Jersey have three points in the standings and the Rangers and Islanders both have two points. This is fair because of what? Though I guess I understand the system, seeing this so starkly makes me think maybe they should get rid of the one point just for getting into overtime. Doing so, would help stop teams from playing tight in the third period just to get into overtime.
The league had tried a bunch if things to try to manage teams playing for a tie or OT, nothing seems to work.
What effort has the league made?
The league ignores (and will ignore) point inflation until a team makes going to OT a primary strategy. It’s a shitty scoring system. How about those LA Kings. 2 games, 2 OT loses, and same 2 points as the Isles and Rags. LOL NHL
The obvious fix is the 3 point system.
Pitt is washed. They are going SJ bust.
I’m thinking all the way back to the 90s when they tried ties and stuff. I agree the current points system is imperfect.
Not ready to throw in the towel yet, but I did have to turn off the game today. Wasn’t good for my blood pressure.
Playing Boston and the only feed is Boston’s. I guess I gotta hate listen to Jack Edwards. At least there’s no Pierre.
While these NHL outdoor games may be well-intentioned, more often than not, they’re pretty terrible. Bad weather wrecks them, and good weather wrecks them. The current one is in a delay due to sunshine. Seriously. I don’t even understand why they would do this in a season where there are no fans in most cases.
I think it was a good idea, since the lack of fans allowed them to play in a beautiful site. I don’t understand why yesterday’s game wasn’t initially rescheduled for dusk if this would have allowed them to protect the ice from the sun.
Holy shit I read that as Wayne at first and my breath caught in my throat for a second
In other hockey news Calgary fired their coach and hired Darryl Sutter.

Probably about as bad of a decision as you could possibly make
