The NFL Thread 2: 1. T Swift

Ray Rhodes is the first one I can remember.

Just learned yesterday that the Lions are descended from the Detroit Heralds.

Art Shell got two separate shots with the Raiders.

Denny Green coached Minnesota and Arizona long time ago

The Chiefs traded a 4th round draft pick for Herm Edwards (the coach, not the player).

So, I foolishly decided to see what was the currently most active thread.

Wow. Just wow. Hand-egg? You people kinda make me a little sick.

if we’re counting all minorities

Tom Flores (raiders, seahawks) in the 80’s-90’s

won two super bowls with the raiders

Riverboat Ron

well I don’t have to tell you who that guy is

From the creator of the Detroit lines comes the Washington …

You are a bad person, and you should feel bad.

Just turned on the Pro Bowl to see what the Chiefs players were doing there.

When did this game turn into two hand touch?

I’m just checking the box score, wtf is happening with all these drives starting on 4th and 15. Can they please just end this farce of a game?!

4th and 15 is instead of an onside kick

hilarious that they’re nonstop going for it here and all that, ya know good thing this is nothing like the real game

but really lol me for not hard betting the over

Patrick Mahomes 5/10 53 5.3 0 1 1-5 26.3
Russell Wilson 9/17 77 4.5 0 2 1-10 25.5

lol wtf how do you do that bad in the pro bowl

I accidentally turned it on and the camera cut to Kirk Cousins and I noped right out of there.

287 vs 315 yards total offence seems genuinely impressively low for a pro bowl

49ers OC Mike McDaniel to the Dolphins.

On the one hand he’s a Mike.

On the other hand, there is no reason to think he sucks yet.

Maybe he will be the next McVay.

Could have been worse, I suppose.

NFL destroyed all of the air pressure data they collected during the 2015 season because, it turns out, footballs are held to the laws of physics.

As the source put it, “numerous” measurements made at halftime of games during the 2015 season generated numbers beyond the permitted range of 12.5 to 13.5 psi, with the reading showing a direct correlation between temperature and air pressure.

On cold days, pressure readings taken before the balls were moved to the field resulted in lower readings after 90 minutes of exposure to the conditions. On hot days, the pressure increased.

No one could have predicted this.

Florio also reports Troy Vincent was the one that fed Mortenson the false story about the balls being 2 psi under. Florio points out maybe Vincent didn’t lie, maybe he got bad info that first day. That’s possible. But once everyone in the league office knew the readings, New England kept asking them to correct Mortenson’s report, and they kept refusing.

PV=nRT. Amazing

In other news apparently Houston has been volunteered to hire Lovie Smith. Can’t go the whole hiring cycle with no new AA hires.
