We’ve got three straight seasons now where games 9-18 Kyler is much worse than games 1-8 Kyler. Maybe it’s just bad luck. I wouldn’t give him $40 million a year.

My huge lions homer friend is convinced stafford makes the HOF is the rams win. His argument is he will likely retire top 10 with all the counting stats and have a rang. Looking at PFR, i don’t see it, unless he has another 3-4 more years of play at a similar level. He seems currently well below the rivers/matt ryan/eli/big rape tier, where i assume the current assumption is eli + rape get in an rivers is probably a slight dog due to lack of a rang.

Given his age and the fact that he’ll be playing 17- and possibly 18-game seasons going forward, I see him moving pretty far up that top 10 list by the time he hangs it up, as long as he doesn’t totally fall off a cliff after 2 years or something. A lot can happen but I think a ring here and maybe a couple more stray playoff wins should do it.
Of course he will rang and go into the hall as a Ram

I don’t see it. He’s never been a top-10 QB. Only 1 Pro-Bowl is pretty damning. Even Eli made 4 to go with his 2 rings.
Feel Stafford needs at least 2 rings to be in the conversation. He’ll retire high on lots of all-time lists, but then likely have lots of current guys right on his tail/pass him before he’s HOF eligible.
If he rangz here, he’ll get more pro bowl votes. He’s just straight up more likely to get pro bowl votes in LA than in Detroit.
You may be right on the first part. As far as guys passing him he actually surprisingly doesn’t have a ton of active competition right behind him, Russell Wilson is 31 behind him in TDs and nobody really close in yardage.
It’s actually really weird to look at the all time QB leaderboards now, a couple years ago half the top 10 for yards/TD/completions were active players, now it’s down to Rodgers and Ryan.
