well they’re certainly worse on offense next season and maybe 2 even before hill starts falling off (though he might take a little longer on that than people think, some people compared to desean jackson but tyreek is faster than jackson was so he’s got a little more cushion before falling off). but I don’t blame them for getting that haul–the afc west is open this year that’s for sure
I think you agree paying Tyreek 30/m a year in a long term contract for the Chiefs with a lot of guaranteed money vs. the picks would be worse though right?
Haven’t actually added it up but Mahomes/Hill/Kelce would be like 60% of their cap space in that situation which isn’t feasible.

Setting aside the off the field stuff this is a horrible decision. I think Tyreek’s skill set is uniquely matched with Mahomes. There is no way Tyreek is going to be as good any where else, let alone Miami with LOL Tua. I can’t even imagine any one they could replace Tua with that would pair well with Hill. That’s a very short list and none of those QBs are going to Miami.
Even if Hill meets expectations (which is never happening), it’s probably an overpay, both to the Chiefs and to Hill.
Random NFL thought: in my lifetime only 7 NFL teams have not appeared in a Super Bowl; Lions, Vikings, Texans, Jaguars, Browns, Jets, Dolphins. Of those 7 teams, 4 of them have the top 4 picks in this year’s draft; Jaguars, Lions, Texans, Jets. Those are some miserable organizations.
Youngster? Of those only the Lions have been in existence the whole time. New Browns only count since Old Browns went as the Ravens.
1 playoff win in 65 years. Lots of very high draft picks. And now the age old is it the players or is it the franchise has been answered. It’s the franchise and the Fords.
Vikings were around for SB I
Vikings are 0-4 in super bowls. All in the 70s. Post was about in that guys lifetime. Being born in 1965 I pushed the time back to SB1 as I was 1 year old.
I don’t like overpaying for Tyreek but MVS/JuJu/Hardman WR corp is rough stuff. Who knows if JuJu can even be serviceable for an entire season. Seems like they need to pick up another body or two.

He’s basically a go route guy, deep threat. He’s had drops issues, but didn’t have a drop last season. Missed 6 games, but I thought he looked a lot better than in previous seasons. Made a few big time catches. Seems like a good dude, too.

Frank Clark costs basically the same against the cap this year as if we’d cut him. You’d have to go back in time four years and not do the Frank Clark deal at all.
