The NFL Thread 2: 1. T Swift

One thing that makes me overly optimistic as a Phins fan is they only have 5 true road games with 9 home games left. Sure they have to play KC as an away game but it’s in Germany so the travel for both teams suck. They have Buffalo and Philly away but both in October before weather really should become an issue in the passing game. Jets the day after Thanksgiving but loljets.

Is Jones your QB1?

It’s a close one if so. But ulimately, I’d wait a bit before considering that trade.

Yes, missed out on Cousins on the waiver wire (someone dropped him Thursday before the game last week). Picked up Purdy to start this week.

Pretty deep at WR with Hill, Kirk, Nacua, Jeudy, and Shaheed (+ Higgins) - non ppr.

The difference between Tua and Jones is probably no more than a few points per game on average. But then again, that can be said for Tua and many of the waiver wire starting QBs. Jones simply isn’t that great.

Man, the more I think about it, the more I like that deal for you (especially if you only start two WRs). Sucks it didn’t happen.

I have been starting 3 WRs: got Saquon, Jonathan Taylor (+ Zack Moss) and Kyren Williams so that could change in a few weeks. Lost Dobbins week 1.

I think Tua could have a MVP type season this year where he throws for 5000-5500 yards and 35 TDs.

Also offered him an expanded trade of
Tua+ Mclaurin+ Najee Harris+ Derrick Henry
for my:
Jones + Higgins + J.Taylor + Kyren Williams

He lost Chubb and is pretty thin behind those guys.

Micah Parsons been practicing at TE this week.

On paper I’m pretty sure this deal is even more in your favor than the first one so I doubt he’ll take it. That said I think I’d rather hold and hope on JT especially since you’ve already paid for 2 weeks of his PUP list stint at this point. Also, Najee is very, very bad at football and is probably going to be on the bad end of a 60/40 split on a shit offense before too much longer.

Very much this

Whats the line tonight? Gotta be at least 10, right?

Agree with the others - but also your offer makes no sense for someone that just lost Chubb. He’s thin at RB and this trade just makes him thinner now (even if Taylor might help in a few weeks).

And yet probably wont be close to the biggest line of the week. I expect KC>Chi and Dal>AZ will be bigger

I’m assuming Najee is awful and I get a bench RB in Najee for two starters in Kyren Williams and Taylor. I view it as 1 really good RB ( Henry) and a mediocre one ( Harris) for a slightly less good Taylor and a starter quality bellcow in Kyren.

Sure - and that makes sense for you/long term. But given he just lost Chubb, I’m assuming Najee was his 3rd RB and thus now is a starter (or at least in consideration for flex), so is worth more to him than you right now.

If that is how you view Najee, I’d make him the offer 4 for 3, as then it at least doesn’t hurt his already depleted depth.

10.5

Those are both 12.5

Nice, sounds about right. Gonna be a few bloodbaths this week. JAX over Hou has to be at least 7 too

Looks like 8.5-9.5 depending on the book. This is where I go to see the lines across all the various sportsbooks mostly out of curiosity since I don’t really bet much: NFL Odds, Lines and Spreads

I’d take HOU there. Jax hasn’t been good to start.

KC isn’t dominant so far or the bears line would be three touchdowns

The Chiefs just might have a defense though.

Karlaftis seems like he’s made a jump, and the rookie FAU has the second highest pressure rate on the team. Which means when the Chiefs get Charles Omenihu back, they’ll have one all-world pass rusher and 4 plus pass rushers (Mike Danna is also looking good). We know what Spags can do with a real front 4.

We have 3 pretty good LBs (Gay, Tranquil, Chenal) and pro-bowl level Nick Bolton.

We have 4 corners that are all at least better than corners we started a few years ago, including one possible emerging star in McDuffie. Sneed could be a pro-bowl player too if he could stay healthy. His knee is banged up though.

Safety is solid with Cook and Reid, but a little thin if anyone gets hurt. And we don’t have a lot of run stuffing DTs. But other than that the D is looking stacked.

Famous last words of course. We’ll revisit mid-season.

I just saw a blurb that Trayvon diggs tore his acl. I hope it’s not true. Was on a fantasy football subreddit.

Edit: others reporting it too. Fffffffff uck

this alan williams thing man

Still nothing reported (mcafee claimed the fbi raid happened and the rumors are still out there [though I’ve now heard not cp but similar addiction]) but the head coach didn’t talk about it with the team and nobody has had any “wish you well” messages. like not even the team dude. Yeah our DC just left but instead of answering your questions so we can move on as fast as possible I’m gonna ignore it so we’ll surely focus entirely on KC this week and not thinking of anything else the entire time.
