Yeah it was in its early stages back then. I had John elway in my league around then.
reminded me of when my little brother had the football when playing against me and my friends and people were coming towards him he’d just quick-toss the ball up in the air and run away

The scoring system was entirely dependent on real-life scoring. The original system rewarded 25 points for a touchdown pass, rush, or reception, 25 for a field goal, 10 for an extra point, and 200 for a kickoff, punt, or interception that was returned for a touchdown.
What an absolutely dumb ass scoring system! Field goal the same as a touchdown?!? Man and I thought my league rules sucked haha
