The NFL Thread 2: 1. T Swift

Radio?

Oh yeah I forgot about radio.

Seems like big overpay based on OBJ recent performance and past issues in the locker room. Reeks of desperation

Redzone details for YouTube, stolen from Reddit, taken from The Athletic.

Relevant info:

ā€¢	Fans can sign up starting Tuesday for the out-of-market games package.
ā€¢	There are two categories of pricing, one for those who subscribe to YouTube TV (cheaper) and those who will use YouTube Primetime Channels, a hub that features sports, movies, TV and other events.
ā€¢	In the final season of DirectTVā€™s 28-year run, Sunday Ticket cost $300 and up to $400 bundled with the satellite carrierā€™s version of RedZone. Moving forward, there is only the NFLā€™s own RedZone available.
ā€¢	After $100 presale discounts expire, YouTube TV will charge $349 for Sunday Ticket and $389 with RedZone; the cost on primetime channels once the presale discount ends are $449, and $489 with RedZone. Before June 6, the prices are $249 and $349 for the package on YouTube TV and Primetime Channels, and $50 more with RedZone.

If I can just keep red zone for free Iā€™ll do that, and Iā€™m the absolute sweet spot for who they should be targeting here.

tbf Apple wanted to buy the rights and give them away relatively cheap but NFL didnā€™t want their product to be in the bargain bin.

I bought mlb.tv for $100 for the year, NFL can fuck right off with $100/month :pirate_flag:.

$150 for me but yea

~140 games (thanks, black out restrictions) for $150 vs 17 games for $350, hm

Plus Iā€™d have to get Youtube TV

We are a two-team house but even then I donā€™t think weā€™re getting value here, and also fuck the NFL

:pirate_flag:

NFL: Fuck them running backs.

edit: Jokes aside Iā€™m all for equipment improvements that could help with concussions and injuries and am aware that could be position specific in some cases.

I agree with you on both points. While the improvement is only 7%, qbā€™s do take the most helmet to turf hits because of how they are hit. I think rbā€™s and wrā€™s are more likely to get another part of their body to absorb a blow and also donā€™t get the bounce back as much from landing on their back.

I swear they introduced QB safety helmets years ago

There were memes about Aaron Rodgers head looking so big, and everything

Deal in place to sell the Commanders for 6 billion, fu Snyder

Jalen Hurts just got a massive bag. I was really impressed by him last year. Heā€™s progressed a lot since coming into the league and fits in that offense like a glove. Lamar could (and probably still will, just a year late) get a huge bag too, if he had proper representation and didnā€™t anchor himself to Deshaunā€™s contract.
