The Neverending Picture Game

Ok. I have very little insight and would just have to pour over wood identification sites. I don’t have time for that now. Johnny, who would obviously have gotten the last one and I was hoping he’d pop by, used to install cabinets so maybe he’d have a shot at this one too. Probably some wood workers around there though.

Walnut

Quilted maple

Birdseye Maple?

Edit: Dammit

How did you acquire that piece and what’s it worth?

Close! I probably would have accepted either birdseye or curly if you got in earlier, but quilted is the correct answer.

Got it for free from the widow of a woodworker I was doing a renovation for. It’s probably not worth anything since there are big cracks in it. Largest usable piece I could resaw out of it is about 5" square, 1/4" thick.

Petersen Museum?

Found by googling “metal wave building facade” and going from there.

I would have gotten that. I go by there every once in a while.

Grand Central Terminal?

Nope.

Philadelphia 30th Street Station

I like this thread. Reminds me of GeoGuesser on youtube.

nice one

I have to admit I just googled „beautiful train station US“.
Here is my picture:

Nice job.

Nothing wrong with that. The two I’ve gotten correct so far I had zero prior knowledge of. Having good Google skills is part of the game.

I‘ll give you guys the hint that it‘s a building in Berlin.
