Having John Elway rip my heart out of my chest and eat it in front of me for 15 years was pretty sucky.
I think before Mahomes the Chiefs were bottom 10 unlucky over my lifetime. Obviously getting Mahomes is insanely lucky. Since then 2018 had some bad luck, 2019 had great luck, 2020 had some shitty luck.
I wish you would not take very obvious bait. I was clearly joking given our back and forth on 2p2 years ago and after I accidentally replied to you I figured Iād troll you. Iām sorry for underestimating how ridiculously insane you are about the plight of Chiefs fans.
I was alive then but too young to remember that until the early 90s so it was obvious Ditka really sucked but he really sucked then too cause he only got one, the team was just incredible for like 4 seasons that covered it up.
remember when packers fans believed aaron rodgers playoff failures were all the fault of mike mccarthy and then rodgers kept failing without him anyway and now mccarthy and rodgers immediately exit the playoffs to the same wild card team
Iām kinda glad the Packers lost yesterday, even as a WI born Packers fan. Rodgers winning a ring this season would have just been confirmation that weāre all actually living out some sort of weird simulation in hell. Ready for the Jordan Love era.
One of the Eagles analytics dudes did a study on the success rate of QB sneaks before the 2017 season and theyāre absurdly successful. He also found that something specific in the QBās footwork had a tremendous impact on success rate. I think Eagles QBās went like 13-of-13 that year or something.
I actually think up to maybe 3&3/4&3, QBs should basically always have the option depending on the defensive front. Brady used to be really good about audibling to a QB sneak when the center was uncovered because nobody can fill the hole in time.
As of a few years ago Brady was 91.6% on 3rd/4th and 1 or 2.
To put that in perspective, Adrian Peterson at the same point in time was 73% in those situations. Same average yards to go as Brady across the sample size (1.18).
Jimmy G for all his warts is great on sneaks. I even thought the GB defense on 4th and 1 was set up fine for a sneak - they had a DL over center but they didnāt have both guards covered. Massive fancy play syndrome, they were just desperate to put Trent Williams in motion - and then have to sub him off the next play if they converted.
The TEN playcalling on their 3rd and a foot yesterday is still the worst. I actually donāt hate taking a surprise shot at the end zone there as an alternative to a sneak, especially if the plan is to chuck it a mile OOB at the first sign of pressure and then you preserve the distance for 4th down. That weird option they called was hideous though.
