But was his girlfriend hot?

Like you said, there is a difference between 1st and 7th in expectations. This guy was supposed to be the best prospect since Andrew Luck.

As busto as Lawrence is, I’d trade Tua for him. So I guess even I think he still has hope.

Yeah I didn’t mean top 10 QB in his rookie year.

And 4 Super Bowls.

Oh wait, those were not his career stats?

I don’t know who shod be COY and MVP and really don’t care, but one thing that I’ve been impressed with about LaFleur and Rodgers this season is their willingness to adapt and take what the defense gives them.

The o-line has been decimated. Four backups and one rookie starter much of the season. They’ve done an admirable job, but from my eye test (maybe the stats prove me wrong), they haven’t held the pocket intact that well. LaFleur and Rodgers have done a nice job at being willing to make quick passes and run the ball, rather than trying to make big plays all the time.

Jason Garrett won coach of the year? I don’t remember that and I am a cowboys fan.

Cue clapping.

Allen has a lot more tools than Lawrence does but yeah stats wise rookie years are similar across the board.

My comp for Trevor was Manziel with better tools. So uh, yeah I did not hype him either and wondered how the hell the raiders could pass up Calvin Johnson for some dude who could throw ball far but kinda sucked.

but what do I know I got allen wrong in the end I guess.

I agree with you but one quick note on this - this really isn’t new for Rodgers, over the last 5 seasons he’s been one of the shortest air yard guys, significantly lower than Brady for example. Off the top of my head it’s been comparable to Brees. He’s still got a cannon of course but it’s been notable how he’s a shorter thrower now.

System QB imo.

It’s wild to see how bad the passing stats were among good QBs even as recently as the early 90s. Bradshaw’s career numbers aren’t even that good even when considering the era he played in. Those Steelers teams were so stacked though.

Imagine how bad Bradshaw’s numbers would have been if he didn’t have two receivers who both had a massively large catch radius?

you also were a Chase hater iirc

:flushed:

Yeah, that was the take that aged the poorest. At least the Lawrence fanboys can say it’s too early. Chase doubters got nothing.

I just don’t get it because Chase was one of the easiest evaluations in recent memory. You saw what LSU did in 2019. You saw that Chase was their #1 over Justin Jefferson. You saw what Justin Jefferson did in the NFL as a 21-year-old rookie. I don’t know how you input that data and output “Chase will be a bust.”

not coming out I wasn’t

people wanted to take sewell and I would’ve snap taken Chase and definitely posted that on this board at the time.

Fact on chase is though, he doesn’t like to get hit (okay that sounded silly–way, way more than other WR’s) so he mostly has to stay on the outside and he does drop the ball a little bit. Cincy adjusted to his strengths when preseason they did the opposite.

His deep ball touch is actually pretty bad now. He overthrows MVS at least twice a game. MVS might be a nice pick up for a team, I think he’s a FA soon.

Really? MVS looks like trash every time I’ve seen him play. Admittedly, I haven’t really paid close attention to a Packers game in a couple of months.

Seems like quarterback play took a big leap from Bradshaw, Staubach, and Stabler to Fouts, Marino and Montana.

Even in the 90s. There is a HOF QB whose arguable best year was

23 TD/14 INT 3445 YDs
