Advanced stats like KC’s run game this year, (some of that is definitely credited to Mahomes, he’s scrambled well). But even without Mahomes, 4.4 yards a clip.
I am not a skilled o-line watcher, but o-line watchers on Twitter tell me they’re at the least fine. Geoff Schwartz is really smart and said they’ve been good (other than the game against Tennessee). There are a ton of plays - like in the Super Bowl - where Mahomes is pressured, but it’s his own fault. Like this one - there’s no way he was supposed to do a 12 yard drop.

Mahomes said it himself after the Super Bowl - a lot of the pressure he got was because of his own errors.

I found the article on Chiefs Planet, and the only bit of info that Barnwell cites is that the Chiefs are 13th in the league in ESPN’s Pass Block Win Rate, which is fine. I respect Suzzer’s opinion on Brown, that he hasn’t been as good as hoped, but I think that in total their line is average.
Anyway - I’ll shut up about this, they’re still a top 10 offense and I do think they’re going to end up being a Super Bowl contender because of Mahomes.

I remember some guy on 2+2 had inside info that Mark Wahlberg and Jessica Alba were super cool and kind. On the other hand, John and Joan Cusack and Ashley Judd were either assholes or crazy or both.
I’m technically a Packers fan since I grew up in WI, but don’t really pay attention to football anymore so this is easier for me to say. Fuck him. Suspend him for the rest of the season. Let the Jordan Love era begin!
Worth remembering the Chiefs are starting effectively three rookies this year on the line. (Humphrey at center, Trey Smith at guard, Lucas Niang at right tackle-- who was drafted in 2020 but opted out of the season.) That should improve with time. Humphrey was a great prospect who should not have been the third center off the board. Smith only fell because of his injury history; he was a day-2 guy on talent.
I think the Chiefs will ultimately be fine; Mahomes probably is trying to do too much now and needs more reliable targets than just Hill / Kelce. And the defense is still bad. Need to start using picks to shore things up again instead of trading for guys. (Did you know that Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the only first round pick they’ve made since drafting Mahomes?)
