The National Football League

The percentage of high level white male athletes who are complete pieces of shit has to be at least 95%.

It’s probably closer to 99.5%.

I’m sure there are exceptions, but I’m struggling to think of a single one.

Do the basketball Lopez brothers count? They are half Cuban.

Freddie Freeman seems good.

Ordinarily would be ~neutral but now I hope KC destroys GB.

Chris Kluwe - assuming punters count.

Serious question from a marginal football fan. What’s happened to Mahomes? I thought he was already coronated the future GOAT Quarterback for the 2020s.

Yeah, I think JJ is good people.

Also - though he’s now retired - Chris Long.

Guess the best outcome here is that ARodg gets a good case of Covid, ends up in the hospital for a few weeks, comes out and starts telling people that he took horse paste and flea meds and still caught it, and it’s time to get vaxxed.

ARdog is a household name and could move some folks to get vaxxed.

Allen Lazard is also not vaxxed (which is why he was out last game as a close contact), but at least he hasn’t lied about it and has had his press conferences via Zoom.

Chris long definitely comes to mind. He’s friends with the pardon my trump guys and Russillo so I’m at least a little suspicious.

He’s always seemed like a really cool, decent person, but yeah, there is a little suspicion there. I read he supported Gary Johnson in 2016, but switched to Bernie. He also started a wonderful charity organization and does great work.

We just can’t seem to get through to these anti-vax idiots. Rogers fucking around and ending up on a ventilator might still not be enough.

I don’t wish him any harm, but if he’s not going to respect the vaccine after this, maybe at least he’ll respect the virus.

I think because his brother and girlfriend are so whack he has lost his mojo. Rodgers would be at home in the mahomes family.

Danny Devito, Steve Buscemi and…

Tom Hanks?

I think mahomes is a savant at finding the open man under pressure. Seems like he might struggle more with covered receivers and defenses are playing him differently.

I suspect over time he will improve in his deficient areas.

OR his insane brother has cursed him.

Not players now but you’ve got Steve Kerr and Pop who are always on the correct side of things. Also, blanking on his name but the Charger’s coach seems good in the little I’ve heard him talk. But yeah, your point is right on.

Mahomes is worse than half of twitter wants you to believe. They point at his 19 touchdowns but 5 of those came on throws behind the line of scrimmage. That’s bizarre - and for context Rodgers has 4, but the NFL TD leaders: Brady has 0, Stafford has 1, Burrow 0, Kyler Murray has 1, Josh Allen 0. It’s insane how many behind the LoS throws he had last game. The o-line and run game seem fine this year. It’s a bit like the Super Bowl - he was bad, but people were eager to blame everyone but Mahomes.

Mahomes has been better than the other half of twitter wants you to believe. He’s had terrible interception luck on batted balls, they’ve played a really tough schedule. I think they’ve had bad luck on fumbles lost as well, and yet his team is still top 10 in scoring.

I maintain he’ll be fine. I can’t imagine a QB as good as him can fall off like that. He and Reid are too good. If “struggling” is a top 10 offense, they’ll light it up when they get back to even average.
