Mahomes is definitely struggling right now. But on this play if there wasn’t a sure TD, then the next most important thing was to go down in bounds and burn 30+ seconds. So while normally he should have stayed in the pocket and tried to throw it around the LB to Kelce, or waited a bit more and winged it to Pringle at the pylon. If either of those falls incomplete it’s a disaster. So he decided to roll to see if he could get a more high % throw or maybe run it in.
Mark Wahlberg is not a good guy lol
He’s slumping for the first time in his career. There’s a whole lot of things -new line doesn’t really mesh with his style as much, learning to play in the pocket, foot seems to be still a bit messed up, obviously shell-shocked by all the turnovers - which has been some bad luck and some bad play, receivers keep dropping balls that aren’t turned over.
Chiefs have been super snakebit this year, whereas last year they got pretty lucky to win a bunch of close games.
He’s got happy feet for sure right now. I am not too worried that he’ll figure it out. Every QB has slumped at some point. I think he’s like a poker player hitting that first horrific run bad that gets inside your head and fucks with you.
Losing CEH is nothing. He might be the 3rd best RB on the team right now. Such a dumb draft pick. His vision sucks compared to Gore and even Darrel Williams. His only plus attribute seems to be dragging defenders for yards after contact. But then he winds up folded up like a pretzel and gets injured.
Our biggest problem this year is Andy and Spags refusing to bench Sorenson, despite being the worst defensive player in the league week in/week out. Reid has a real problem with staying long after it’s obvious the player or coach isn’t performing.
Sounds like he mixed benzos and alcohol.
If he doesnt get the max and lose every penny I’m gonna be rooting for vigilante justice + jury nullification.
ETA: This post was an overreaction. I read about the girl and her dog being burned alive. Ive also maxed out on patience for people driving sports cars.
If you’re not Vietnamese I guess
I think Kelce is either hurt or his play has fallen off which leaves their skill position players real
thin. Combine that with Mahomes being reckless with the ball and a defense that has been terrible, especially (I think) defending downfield passes, and it becomes a very average team. Schedule gets easier now though, especially with Rodgers out.
Kelce is the same age as Gronk and has actually been playing full seasons the last 5-6 years. It’s actually a miracle he hasn’t fallen off before now.
Kelce gotta be one of the most successful microfracture surgery stories.
I think he was playing through injury this last game but for most of the season by the numbers he seems to be more or less who you’d expect him to be.
Anyone?
Ruggs is definitely gonna be facing some consequences.
Mahomes is really good. He’ll be fine.
He’s black.
Yeah, that was my point
Ruggs was driving 156 mph before he lost control and sat on a curb while a 23 year old and her dog burned to death.
While there was almost certainly nothing he could do after he got out, its an image that will leave a jury shook.
Boiling this down to race alone makes no sense on a board where literally every poster here already understands the implications of it on his outcome.
I’m not saying “race alone”. But obviously race has a lot to do with how his case will be handled.
I don’t think anyone can say anything for certain other than he’s gonna be made an example of.
A white player would definitely get made an example of imo. 156 mph is mind blowing.
Is Andy Reid’s son even in jail? I think the answer is no right?
Lets give details. There have been players of color who killed people while dui and did not go to jail.
I’m not defending Ruggs here at all and he deserves a pretty severe punishment. The point I am making is of course his race will matter on the outcome of his case. If nothing else he won’t get the same plea deal that a Gronk or someone like that would get in the same situation.
Yeah, this
Im not gonna dig in on this any further as I am well aware of how these conversations can go in this space.
I would say you are most likely right but there could be a small chance that whoever makes the determination thinks more like the people in this forum.
I actually empathize for the guy a little since he now certainly realizes how much his and others lives have been altered.
