Even if you can’t get the student package, the regular Sunday Ticket streaming package is $75 a month for 4 months, which is still I assume cheaper than DTV on the whole (and not that much more expensive than getting a cable package I don’t care about just so I can add NFLN and Red Zone).
this is an outrage! How about spoiler tags, man? That pic is NSFL, and it triggers bad flashbacks
Lol nah I was pretty vocal last year… and skydiver and I bonded over Pete so she knows I’m messing around
I was at exiled and UP don’t think I posted in sporting events at 22 much
Panthers as home dogs to a crappy Raiders team seems like free EV. Bridgewater is decent and that alone should be big upgrade over the crap QBs they trotted out last year.
People are overestimating Raiders based on their jump to 7-9 from Gruden’s initial terrible year, but in reality they weren’t much better, just got luckier. 2018 they went 4-12 with 3.9 expected wing, 2019 they won three more games, but their expected wins only increased to 5.3. They also had a softer schedule in 2019 that 2018. Think Raiders under 7.5 wins is free money, as they are clear regression candidate.
Feel this should be at worst at PK, with Panther’s probably as slight favorites.
I’m pretty sure this isn’t generally available in the US. My understanding is that there is some loophole if you can’t physically install the DirecTV dish… but that’s not going to apply to my places.
On a different front, because of our somewhat unique geography, LA stations can be received in SD with a roof antennae, and I assume vice versa, Historically, back the last time the NFL did business in LA, we’d consistently get 1-2 extra games on Sunday this way. Currently, it’s been running at 0-3 extra games per season.
The go-to source for coverage maps, current and historic, is 506sports.
ETA: this is from the official website…
… NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV service is only available to non-DIRECTV customers who live in select multi-dwelling unit buildings (apartments, condos, etc.,) nationwide in the U.S. where DIRECTV service is not available, live in select areas within various metropolitan cities, live in a residence that has been verified as unable to receive DIRECTV satellite TV service due to obstructions blocking access to satellite signals, or are college students. NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U only available to students actively enrolled in post-secondary educational institutions…
What exactly are the “select areas within various metropolitan cities” isn’t spelled out, and I failed in a quick google to find a 3rd party coverage map. I know metro San Diego wasn’t one in the past. However, to my surprise, when I plugged my address in just now… it seems I am now eligible.
What if I have a faked Canadian IP address?
I don’t think that will get you free healthcare.
No one ever listens to me when I talk about the student loophole. It’s cheaper and no requirement about not being able to get a dish.
Trust me, I programmed the whole buy flow.
Tebow / Steelers game was the best the internet has ever been.
My religious aunt and I were texting during that game, which we’ve never done anything remotely like before or since.
I was rooting for the Broncos, hard - which would be unimaginable to me if it didn’t actually happen.
The few students I know are big NFL fans, and they’ve all signed up themselves.
As I mentioned, before the pandemic I was thinking of taking a token class at the local JC. However, I missed that boat now, I believe. I got two Qs for any of my fellow UnStuckers about this angle…

Those students were under the impression that you had to be full time, or carry some minimal amount of units. I’m skeptical that this is true, but IDK for sure.

The local JC also offers non-credit “enrichment” classes that are free and start all the time. It’d be really cool if that counted as far as the NFL is concerned.
Yeah, I did that for the local JC. FYI: In (the real) CA JCs are really cheap, IIRC it’s a nominal $46 per class. It kicked me out (correctly) saying I wasn’t enrolled (so they do actually check, good work @ suzzer99!)… but said I could sent in docs somewhere if that was in mistake.
Well, that was easier than I thought. Glad I have a friend in grad school I can ask for forgiveness from later. I’m gonna save me 200 bucks.
I just got verified using my friend’s info who’s just taking grad school night classes.
Back when I was religiously watching the NFL there was some shady on-demand service that let you watch NFL games for way lower than the NFL’s regular streaming package, but you had to have a VPN and pretend to be overseas. idk if that’s still around.
Does the student thing come with RedZone?
You can look up some football player at a local college and possibly find out their birth date that way.
Not sure if one JC class counts. IIRC it has to be at least associate’s degree program. Also there’s probably some lag in getting into the student DB they check against.
I’ve been my niece for 3 years running.
