He’s already guaranteed to get $33 million this year on the tag, then $40 million next year, so getting $35 per is a huge discount to what he’d get if he goes season to season. If he pulls a Cousins, I’d bet he would easily get $230ish for the next 5 years ($33/$40, and then either $54 million tag or he’d be a free agent).
Dak has pretty much all the leverage here, so no reason he shouldn’t use it. Injury risk is of course real, but I’d bet he can but insurance for less than the discount the Cowboys are asking him to take.
Not even indirectly? Wow. Anyway, Dak is absolutely worth it. And if Dallas is smart, they’ll sign him long-term before the Mahomes/Watson extensions jack up the QB market even higher.
I know the amount of dolphin fans here is more than there should be so I thought this would be fun to share- my good buddy made a post to the “Official Miami Dolphins Fans Group” on draft night that got like 500 likes. Someone associated with the group who must have an in with the team reached out to him and ended up sending him a Tua jersey that is back ordered to like December for free. So fbook is good for something.
Not really comparable. MM is a short tournament occuring at the outbreak when everything was shutting down. The country is slowly opening up and the NFL will have months to plan. Unless there is a stronger 2nd wave, there is going to be a season.
When I saw that Urlacher tweet for a split second I got super disappointed because I was thinking of Chris Long. Then I realized I had them confused and felt better.
Drew Brees has always been a low-key shitty person, it just kinda didn’t go noticed because it was pretty low-key-- conservative, selling supplements, not a criminal or wife beater or anything like that. I didn’t think he was stupid enough to say this right now though.
