A few months ago everyone here was saying we need to be rooting for trump in the primary because DeSantis was some brilliant politician who was going to destroy Biden and everyone else in his path.

Going after Disney shows that he doesn’t get it at all. The R base likes the culture wars because they are filled with hate. They want to follow a bully that will pick on disadvantaged people. They don’t want a fight with Disney, they want someone like Trump to call people names and make fun of disabled people, etc.
I actually think the Meatball got high on his own supply, the media was on a big kick for a while there with editorials trying to normalize his weirdness and position him as a Reasonable Conservative and it seems like he bought into his own fake hype.
