My brother approached me a couple months ago about crypto advice. I informed him about it all, and stressed to keep it simple. During that time I think he was happy he got in, but clearly showed quite a bit of nerves at times. He just told me he sold today, at a small loss. I mean, I understand where heās coming from even though Iām not going anywhere. At least heās an experience richer.

Fair, but that also is what makes it fun. Itās like that myth about blackjack, how if you play with a player who is bad it makes you lose. Except itās true here, though if you adjust your strategy to account for that itās +EV.

Gambling in a casino is fun too though. That doesnt mean Iām taking my life savings there and risking it for the fun.
Flying a kite is fun. Itās not going to cost me multiple tens of thousands of dollars in the 2 hours I do it though

Well, Iāve always advised people here to not shove their life savings, and if theyāre starting to trade then do the absolute minimum to get the hang of it, like literally 10ish dollars.

When you talk about āthe same peopleā in crypto that do X and Y you sound like a 70 year old talking about āthe people on redditā as if theyāre a monolith lol.
At least you went from pretending you werenāt feeling schaden to justifying that your schaden is somehow righteous lol.

Nah, Iām still not feeling it. But people being aghast that some might is pretty funny to me.
I didnāt sell the top either but this is what the 5th/6th time this exact same cycle has happened now? This thing getting popped was always a matter of when not if. Give it a couple years and we will see another mania phase.

Nobodyās aghast. It was predictable. Literally mentioned in here several times that during a bull run every moron influencer that throws a dart and lands on a winning shitcoin thinks theyāre a genius and during a bear cycle every no coiner thinks their ignorance is finally being proven right.
Saw this last cycle. Will see plenty of it all day today/tomorrow/whenever. If crypto continues downwards all of the useless noise will disappear (good and bad) and 60% of people will completely forget about BTC until the next bull cycle, in perpetuity. This is the song that never ends (yes it goes on and on, my friend).
