This is the kind of schadenfreude I don’t really get. I’m not happy about all the people who bought dogecoin at 69 cents.

I’m not reveling in schadenfreud. I was making an honest point. There is no true value to bitcoin. It’s not surprising if a bunch of people cant grasp the ins and outs of something completely foreign to them aside from price up good price down bad.

Talked to a guy yesterday (about BTC and renewables) and he said “I think crypto is a joke” and also “I use it to to buy some things online, and I get paid in it.”
BTC may have no “true value,” but some form of crypto seems to have a long-term future.
ETA: This is a smart dude, but man that is some position to hold … I get paid using crypto, and also crypto is a joke.
