To expand on this, unless youâre modeling or tailing a model, you are drawing stone dead to beat 10% juice. And rake at DFS is higher.
Loss porn or GTFO imo
I was in discord when you made 20K on a fat finger!
Got drunk one night and bought 7 eth (at the time worth around $27,000) of this trash called doodled punks that were pumping and passed out before i sold any and woke up to them being less than half. Still have half of them and now they are worth roughly 15% of what i paid.
Still have nightmares of dunks being my biggest loss so far.
Agree with this assessment.
Took me about 5-7 days of hanging in the discord and buying a couple of low priced, shit NFTs to figure things out.
I still donât understand anything about liquidity pools and staking, but the discord folks are good about explaining exactly what you need to do and when, so I just follow their lead on that stuff.
I think the last couple of weeks have been a tough market for NFTs. Not much makes sense. Almost-porn girl DAOs were the big thing until late last night. Thereâs also a billion NFTs minting every day and itâs difficult figuring out which ones are going to make it.
How have IreneDAOs been performing?
The learning curve is definitely a lot steeper if youâve never been into crypto and donât really know shit about blockchains. Some people pick it up really quickly, not me though. I just buy into only a few projects that regulars seem to really like and thatâs been working out pretty well so far. I started with 2 eth, which really is the very bottom end of what a proper starting roll should be imo, and not really enough if you want to hold onto some stuff longer term. Itâs easy to tie up your liquidity into projects that you like!
I mean, are they up in price since wice bought 100 ETH worth? Wanna know if our boy made money.
Looks like the one BJ posted sold last for 1.25, and is now on sale for .85 with no bids. Donât know if that is standard for the collection, but doesnt sound great.
Am I doing it right?
There continue to be non-NFT crypto opportunities with much lower barriers to entry if you donât have $10k you can casually throw around. There are also the much more affordable NFT markets on Solana and, if youâre not in the US, Binance.
What would be a good long-term buy & hold?
These two numbers are scary to a guy like me. After talking it over with my wife, we decided we could afford to invest about $1,500 right now to get into this, and based on the above that doesnât seem even close to nearly enough.
In crypto? Nothing. Maybe Ethereum.
not enough to daytrade on ethereum. but buying 0.5 ethereum with it and holding doesnât sound like the worst investment in the world
I mean itâd be like playing poker on a roll of a couple buy ins, you really gotta run hot flipping stuff right out of the gate.
But as Zik says, there is other stuff out thereâŚ
To give you an idea of whatâs available for small stakes, some of us are staking various gaming projects and at times getting yields > 1% per day. You can profitably do this for as little as $20 invested.
To get there you need to understand farming liquidity pairs, and usually working across multiple chains. LIke Johnny said, thereâs a steep learning curve, but itâs over with pretty quick and youâll find lots of help if you need it in the Discord.
