Right, leveraged ETFs are a whole different animal.
lol i missed this one. im starting to take this man seriously
Seems like a bubble
Uhā¦ heās right?
This is a well known math thought experiment. Flip a coin and you gain 10% if you win, lose 10% if you lose. You will always lose this game. Is he not just saying the same thing
If I buy a house for $500k and sell it for $1M ten years later, I netted $500k over ten years. It doesnāt matter if the price dropped to $1 in the interim (except maybe for property taxes).
Now substitute one bitcoin for a house.
Can you read what I wrote and tell me how itās different from what he is saying? because we dont appear to be talking about the same thing
Iām not sure what heās saying but it doesnāt matter. If I buy some BTC on 1/1/2021 and donāt sell, I still have exactly that much BTC. The volatility in the interim means nothing.
Heās confusing buying a set amount of an asset with something like a leveraged ETF that has all kinds of inner-workings.
the plan is to do a strategic bitcoin reserve if the US does that itās a straight up arrow from here even.
if not, youāre probably right
Itās all dry out there. Otc desks are scrambling. No bitcoin to be found anywhere āPlease sir, we need your BTC. Weāll pay you double!ā
They say its the best trade anyone has ever made.
At some point before the pandemic (2018-2019) i had a really good edge over bookies in something. I managed to put in a decent amount of money on games via some half shady broker. My options were get the winnings in BTC (which was pretty flat at the time at ~15k usd) or give a friend back home 5% cut for him to settle the bets in cash once a week and hold it for me.
I couldnāt resist the feeling of those crisp papers.
Thatās funny. Back in like 2017 maybe, a pro buddy of mine and I found what we believed was an edge with NFL props on Bovada. Didnāt even hammer them that hard, but got banned pretty quick. Got my half back in like .8 btc and had no clue what to do with it.
Said Iād only sell when it hit 100k (I think it was like 2400 at the time) and wellā¦shit.
I meant a million I guess.
thats why you have to find a broker that piles you in with losing accounts.
I remember by buddy and I debating if we should put $1000 into BC in like 2013 and deciding that was a suckers bet.
oh i have a million stories of how i didnt invest in 2013. i like this one cause i went out of my way and spent considerable amount of money NOT to get bitcoin when it was already a real and relatively established thing.
