Your pony moved too many spaces forward before it moved sideways.
I do love that the perma ban is actually a 1000-year ban. Makes me chuckle for some reason.
A thousand years in a cave of wonders oughta chill him out.
All the intellectual exercises I need. All the intellectual exercises I want. And the very best part… there’s time now. There’s all the time I need. All the time I want. Time enough at last.
yo have you seen my glasses?
Just a data point: I’m here with nanodaughter - she says “not my favorite thing, but I’m not that offended by it” when a dude says it, depending on the tone. Her bff, a girl/woman, says it a lot and it doesn’t bother her.
honestly i didnt even know the ‘c-word’ was a thing in the US until this thread. I didn’t even know it’s called the ‘c-word’.
I think it’s all about context and who you are with at the time. On that basis I should vote to ban it I guess, because I certainly wouldn’t use it around people who find it offensive. I do bristle though at the attitude that Americans know best and that their rules should be the default/norm. Therefore I will abstain from voting.
She says she’s planning on being your cyberbully. SNORREO!
I like her already.
Are you American? If so you have no idea how the US comes across to foreigners. I will not be using the c word here as it obviously upsets people. I also would not use other offensive words. I actually think I have much more of a right to use the cword than most others on here, due to the fact that I’m female. I won’t, purely because I want people to feel comfortable here but I definitely feel I have more rights than the men on the forum if I did so.
Please stop being annoyingly right. Where’s microdaughter?
Microdaughter is sadly not home. She’s 21 and mostly away.
But, happily nanodaughter, 18yo, is right here!
Any daughter that is into bullying snoreo is more than welcome!
I have agreed not to use the word. I’m not 100% sure why we arguing.
Im hoping ill make it to when they can download my brain into a robot and live forever so that would only be like a short temp ban really.
Weird dichotomy in Straya most of the uses of ■■■■■■ are non pejorative, like just “oi ■■■■ get me a beer” to a friend. “Funny ■■■■■ is a complimentary stock phrase, like “That John Oliver guy is a funny ■■■■■■ Not saying it’s acceptable in polite company but it’s not that uncommon.
But otoh, calling a woman a ■■■■ is SUPER out of bounds, like it’s hard to imagine a worse thing you could say to a female. It’s fighting words.
I have to say the c word thing is really not a big issue to me but the fact hat so many people have taken this discussion to mean let’s use the word far more often cause it’s funny when others are offended has really blown a huge hole in this sites collective claim to its political identity.
People don’t even care enough about others to hold off until the issue is resolved.
In for cyberbulling ggoreo.
