There is literally nobody arguing to use this word unconditionally in this forum. The problem is that the people who are arguing against it are arguing against ghosts. If you look at any of the arguments that fidget, jal, I, or any of the other UK’ers have made, nobody, as far as I know, is saying “I should be allowed to use this word with impunity”.
D2 is not posting that differently than someone like that Wisconsin deplorable we banned. The absolute only reason certain people have not been banned is because they’ve played the refs. They’ve accused the mods of bias so they have since bent over backwards to appear non biased. I think this has been an awful decision with awful results.

My reading of marty’s stance on this is that he considers it to be a standard curse word that should be moderated in the same way that an f-bomb is.
Well, @marty is a bit of a ■■■■■ but I’m sure we can rein him in given time. He’s probably a red-headed stepchild, so give him some slack.
This compromise is unnecessary now, as we have been assured that no posters actually want to use the word.
Marty is the poster who has most stridently defended use of the word. Some of the other posters you mentioned may be using this more as a vehicle to complain about mods and/or other users.
It appears that the only conditions you are willing to accept are the ones that you had already imposed on yourself without regard to the feelings of others, so this is hardly being magnanimous.

Honestly, though, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m neither asking for nor willing to accept any conditions, because I’m not using the word in the first place (guilty once in the 2+2 thread I think). Do you mean “you” as in plural? I’m not sure I have a mandate to negotiate on behalf of the stupidity posse.

It’s a shitty word that heavily offends a decent amount of society. Moderate it. Stop giving into people who are taking this forum hostage over absolute bullshit. Sorry, but this is primarily an American forum. If you were to come over to America and start throwing ■■■■■■■ all over the place in public you would be rightfully scorned. Get over it and move on.
