The 2020 Election: Delaying the Inevitable

I know people asked about my drug line up for election night. Nothing for each state, that was a lie.

but I have xanax, weed, hanger 24 orange wheat for the standard.

Depending how things go I have Ketamine.

Also don’t worry I will be safe

Average deplorable is going after work I’d have thought. This straw poll is interesting only for its sample size.

SOMEONE WAKE UP RIVERMAN DAMNIT

asking for a friend…

Cuse, are you talking to people near you in line? Are you overhearing conversations from others?

Good luck America. I’m going to vape a bowl and hit the sack. Poles close in the east at 8pm right, so that would be 11:30am local time. So I’ll be up in plenty of time to help ascertain whether or not you still have a country.

so how does door-knocking on election day work? You have to convince people who otherwise couldn’t be bothered to vote (or were unable to), to go out and stand in line for hours?

Would telling a coworker to stfu and have another heart attack be grounds for firing?

Being unemployed due to covid sucks, but not having to work today/tonight is a damn blessing. Not sure how any of you working stiffs are going to be at all productive today.

I use to play some civ type game where you had to set taxes. If you increased them people were pissed. If you decreased then people were happy. So you could do things like 10 → 20 → 15 and end up with more money and more happiness.

That’s what the GOP did here:

Overheard the deplorables behind us but that was it. After the first 20-30 people the line started to skew more and more female.

Well typically there won’t be lines later in the day. But typically there wouldn’t be now either. You’re reminding them to vote, that it’s Election Day, where their polling place is, etc.

The bad news is I had to back out. I have a cough this morning and that’s a disqualifier. You have to sign a form that you haven’t had a cough (or a bunch of other symptoms) in the last 24 hours.

Simplest way I can think about it to feel good about what is going to happen today:

63 Million people voted for Donald Trump in 2016. We are probably going to see 155 to 160 million people vote in this election. Let’s say he needs 75 million votes to put the EC in reach. I just don’t know who are the 12 million people who voted Hillary, third party, or didn’t vote that are voting for Trump in 2020.

Couldn’t reply in the other thread since it’s closed, but throwing my hat in the ring by nominating Coxsackie, NY for the great dirty names contest. Every time I drove through with my wife we used to try to guess the high school mascot. I think my favorite was the Coxsackie Dribble and my wife’s was the Coxsackie Purple Warriors.

I work across from a voting site and there were already 50+ cars at 7 am. Parking on the side of the road.
