Getting my election smackdown going early, left work to finish up at home, stopped for a few groceries, mask on and keeping a polite distance from people at all times. Got in line to pay and the checker was having to bounce back and forth between self serv and the line I was in, everything’s cool and I’m joking around with the two ladies in front of me and then I hear someone literally breathing in my ear. Turn around and my face is less that 12 inches from his. I ask him nicely enough to back off, he refuses, I say “Seriously? You want to be a fucking asshole about this? SIX FEET, MOTHERFUCKER”. He won’t budge and the checker starts apologizing to me. I moved up to the credit card machine at that point and he didn’t follow, so I let it go. Next motherfucker that does this to me is getting punched in the throat.

yeah. it’s Houston. it’s the third largest county in the United States i believe…
its also led by a “county judge” who is a 29yr old colombian-american that is likely a future star of the democratic party. definitely worth a follow. lina hidalgo.
she increased the election funding from 4 million dollars to 31 million dollars, and even got the county to have over night 24hr voting.
