I have no idea what this is supposed to prove but it seems especially bad to me if true.
I can think of many things it proves, but the most obvious one is that you are either wrong on how bad it was to play Taysom Hill last week when everyone knew his ownership will be unprecedented for a full slate, or you’re wrong about how there is no more edge to be have in DFS. Both are claims you made here and are contradictive of each other.
Also Hill was projected as the best point per dollar QB at DK that week where he was 4800. He was projected as the best TE on FD by an unprecedented margain in every touting site.
So again we’re back to either everyone wrong or everyone are right. Which makes this discussion really weird. I can totally accept that you see an edge that no one else in the industry saw that week, but how can you claim both opposing views at the same time?

Playing a less chalky lineup will not lead to better results more often (like the scenario Chippa referred to). In fact it will most likely lead to lower scores on most weeks, but far better results on the weeks you do well.

Ran good yesterday in the first week of the playoffs. It’s my big money league and the playoffs are two weeks for each round (You play the same team for two weeks and combine the total points).
Payouts are top heavy so if I make the championship round even second place has a good payout.
Up 148.7 to 105.1 with no players left this week.
Last night he had Tyreek who could of had two TD’s.

My playoffs start next week which is good as my team laid a goose egg this week. Which means I’ll finish 10-3 and either first or second (another team is 10-2 like me and depends if they win or lose this week). First vs second doesn’t really matter much for my odds I don’t think.
Herbert, Henry, Metcalf (not as bad), Lutz all did horribly getting 19 total points between the 4 (expected to get 62).
Hoping they have a rebound week next week.
I own Kamara and Taysom has absolutely tanked his production, fuck that guy.
Regular season just finished up in my 12 team superflex dynasty league and I crushed, just need to fade variance in the playoffs. Tempted to make a trade for an older stud WR to try and ensure a win but idk yet, could get Thielen for sure. Out of the playoffs in a redraft league and not sure yet if I’m going to make it in another redraft (need a couple people to lose, not looking great)
I’m in a 16 team league and two really unlikely things happened this year.
A team started 1-5, finished 8-5 and because the two 8-4 teams lost in the final weekend, got the 2 seed, a bye, and guaranteed money on points for tiebreaker.
The team that got the 6 seed needed three other teams to lose ahead of him. Plus, he held a 3.03 points lead against the team below him coming into the week. The 6 seed had Jordan Reed and the guy who finished 7th had Mullens. That last TD swung the game, the guy won the 6 seed by .15 points. Unless there is a scoring change (Pitt D was involved today, so it’s not impossible).
Cliffs: In a 16 team league a guy went from 1-5 to 8-5 and the #2 seed. Another guy made the playoffs by .15 points in a tiebreaker that went down to the wire.
Edit: Ah shit I just checked and he got an additional point, so now advanced by 1.15 points. Much less fun.

my team is hammered dogshit because I couldn’t attend the live auction draft. the bot that drafted my team was one malfunctioning error code after another. but, last week I did somehow manage to beat the 1st place team and throw the top of the table into utter chaos!
