This would violate everything they have claimed so doubt that will happen. They can just make new LE instead. The long-term undervalued cards right now are the cheap LE. However, an edition “limited” to 12,000 isn’t that limited and I’d be skeptical of paying more than a couple bucks for those. What I could see happening, assuming that Top Shot is here to stay, is that some of the LE cards considered boring and easy to obtain now could end up having much lower effective circulation when people lose interest after dumping their rares and never log back in to see how much the Dwayne Bacon LE is going for. Moments like that will never go for huge money which means that collectors won’t be that enticed to sell them; you can win that market with volume like sports card dealers do.
I timed my buys of some of the 7500 LE cards well. Those have been experiencing some nice price appreciation. Not as much as the 4000 LE rookies though. That was a complete miss for me.

This is why I asked earlier what the AD CC would be worth. Doesn’t seem like enough for profit sharing.
The Luka is like 2k now. If AD is half that, it’s still probably a 1k floor and the small chance you get a top serial and it’s 5k.
How do serials work on challenges that end but aren’t fully circulated?
I’m predicting AD will end up more in the $5-600 range. Luka carries a premium over AD for any similar card and there will be more of the AD card.
ETA: that said if the market continues to boom, it could be easily 1k by the time the challenge is done.
I believe they get a tally of how many they have to mint then randomize them and send them out?
With the depreciation of the CC cards post AD it won’t be a windfall, but if we have the cards and the ppl here don’t want to buy $500 worth, why not?
Don’t get me wrong I want to see you try it. I would have been more interested if I thought the AD would be worth auto 4 figures. I think that’s possible, just unlikely.
this kid broke the buy record at some point (i think it was 49k for some lebron at the time). He’s doing a 1k to 100k challenge which he seems to be trying to do with a single card at a time.
