Take Me Out To The Blockchain - Digital Sports Collectibles

I feel like 95% of the current buying is by speculators.

If they are only going to add 50-100k new cards a week and double the user base every few days of course the prices go up.

Holllly fuck. I bought 70 street fighter cards and crafted a “weld” (10% outcome) and they’re going for $400+…a common Ryu/Ken is like $20 right now.

It’s supposed to be 2x a week, but it isn’t

Not all 12k have been distributed. Some are in packs but some have not yet even been minted. Right now there are fewer circulating Barton’s than any other card for the challenge - including the CC’s.

stanley has 50x’d. lol

They do but that doesn’t fully capture what happens in collectible bubbles. Like Surf pointed out, the vast majority of entrants into this market are buying to sell. Almost no one is buying to actually collect, and the few who are will only be in it for the ultra rares. There may be a nostalgia bump in 20 years, but I am almost positive you’d be better off putting the money into an index fund versus scooping the rares for bargain bin prices after this collapses.

Just grabbed one, is he a piece of the ad challenge?

What’s amazing right now is that these price quotes are outdated by the time you finish typing your post and press reply.

What is your account name?

Where can you see this?

These low price glitches are super annoying, it’s really hard to find deals when the prices that show up are wrong for serveral cards

I think at some point the 15k CC+ cards are going to dump in price. I feel that they are being valued as if they are LEs, but most likely only a few with actually become LEs.

Of course, if the entire market keeps going up, it won’t matter.

Yeah I have no idea what price to sell my Wiggins at, I don’t want to get stuck holding too high of volume if the demand plummets. Any profits I’ll probably try to put in an LE card.

If we go off the crypto analogy, there’s the blue chips, like Lebron (bitcoin), and the shitcoins, like Wiggins. The shitcoins are riskier to hold but can see the highest potential gain. Especially since new buyers are often attracted to lower prices. This is going to be magnified in TopShot because you can’t buy a fraction of a card. Oh, you can’t afford a Curry? Too bad, here, take a Wiggins.

one dude has bought like 50 of them

guess some are simply trying to squeeze the AD market

Sent you a Miles Bridges dunk. There’s a chance he could compete in (and win) the slam dunk contest in a few weeks.

Agree with this and am trying to flip commons for fast profit and liquidity for LEs.

This Street Fighter shit is meme as hell. I minted a 1% hit that’s serial #6. Others with higher serials are listed for $500+.

Edit: Did they drop which cards will be LE yet?
