The problem with bubbles isn’t really supply side, it’s that the demand isn’t sustainable. Like, if we were trading Playstations, I know gamers are still going to want Playstations seven years from now. There is no such sustainable market for “basketball gif collectors.”
Will Barton now with a low ask of $195. If you didn’t buy all the moments for the cool cat challenge already, you aren’t getting in. $1,500 minimum to buy all 10 moments needed to acquire AD.
This is the group that I’m judging how much the market is up by, because it’s a set of stars that should appreciate but have no ties to a challenge or anything else that would cause them to artificially skyrocket. Yesterday morning total value was roughly $525. This morning looking at roughly $750.
What’s crazy to me is that the 7.5k LEs are barely going for more than double the 15K CC+ for the same player. Seems that the 7.5k LEs are the far better buy, as the CCs are basically already priced as if they are going to become 15k LEs.
I’m not sure at this point. I think the play a couple days ago was the 7500 LE moments as they were all star players and severely underpriced. I’m kinda regretting that I only bought 5/10 of them. I think those still have more room to run, but I’m not sure if they’re the best value on the site anymore.
I’m also kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on the Luka cool cat I thought about buying at $900.
Yeah, my concern with those is they are just going to make new moments for those players, and then why will people really want the 7.5k LE. But then I can’t really find anything I like that much, so I’ve left most of my Dapper $ on the sidelines and am missing out.
There are so many cards I’m not kicking myself for not buying (at this point anything I considered buying would have worked). I was planning to buy LaMelo’s when they were around $400, but the plan was to wait until the next pack drop and scoop them up when they fell.
Hold to sell off when people are desperate to buy later to complete the LaMelo challenge. Or just artificially limit the serial number count of the eventual LaMelo reward.
