Holy crap that sounds impossible.

Did a grocery run after treatment at about 8am at a Safeway in Palo Alto. No TP/paper towels/hand sanitizer - large and small but no medium bottled water cases, for some reason. Otherwise, pretty much everything in stock and maybe 40-50 people at max in a large supermarket. Got some canned soup, cheese and produce, maybe 15 minutes max in the store, and made our way home.

Marco had a real shot at President before he started balding. That more or less sums up his role as politician.

Once everyone is locked down, I wonder if we’ll see a significant increase in animals roaming through urban and suburban areas with fewer people to scare them away… Especially in places with wilderness not too far away, which is true of a lot of Socal. Not so much here in Philly.

Iowa got the official shut down about an hour ago

Welp I’m fucked. We’re trying to flip our boomer clients to phone calls instead of in office and they will not do it. They’re demanding to keep their in person appointments.

I’m sorry to hear that she’s going to be at an increased risk, and she never signed up for this, but what she’s going to be doing is a huge public service that may go underappreciated when we get around to thanking doctors, nurses, scientists, first responders, etc. I’m grateful for the people like her across the country who are going to step up and do their part, and I hope she fades getting it or is fortunate enough to get it very mildly.

Just saw a question on a French newspaper’s liveblog that was essentially ‘won’t somebody think of the pigeons?!’ (Less discarded food to eat) The answer was the pigeons might be shit out of luck.

What industry?

Just cancel the appointments then. Fuck ‘em.

They only use the phone to get scammed. Real business must be done in person.

Too short

I would but I’m not the boss. It’s not even for new business and we won’t lose them as a client if it has to get pushed out.

And call people over stuff that texting could easily accomplish.

People text and email when they should call way too often.

Uber shutting down Uber Pool. Claiming it is to help flatten out the curve of Corona.

@suzzer99 - a line was going down the sidewalk outside a gun store on Hawthorne Boulevard.

Thx. I think we have to come to terms that we ourselves or many people we love will get this. We can just hope for the best. They are young and healthy.

Sadly the best thing for them may be to get mild cases and acquire immunity (assuming its strong and we can test for it).

USA off to the races - first day to break 1,000 new cases and still half the day to go. Looking like we’ll catch Italy in not too long and soon be USA #1 in terms of cases (and likely deaths - if we count right).
