Great success. It was actually a really smooth operation. Hand sanitizer available everywhere. Latex gloves if you didn’t want to touch the pen. Minimal to zero contact between voters and voting staff. Pretty well done imo.

In many parts of country restaurants are staying open for take out only.

I think that was a big gestalt shift for a lot of people. It’s like “oh gee maybe we all should take this seriously now.” I have a lot of respect for the NBA for making this move early.

Just talked to my daughter in MN. She does before/after daycare.
They are converting over to watching children of first responders and healthcare workers. So she is going to get it 100%. She and her husband are 25, no kids her.
But of course they had a meeting with 200 staff across the entire district.
They cannot refuse shifts. They only get out of it if they are under a health department mandate because they have a immunocompromised person at home or similar.
She may get out because her husband may have been exposed at his work. They are waiting to hear about his departmental co-workers test result.
She’s upset. Happy to do her part but unhappy how stupid they are going about it. Supposed to keep the kids 6’ apart. RunNing around wiping everything down that gets touched.

I can go have a drink at Texas Roadhouse, no problem. But if I want to go have a drink at an actual roadhouse, like the roadhouse in the movie, “Roadhouse,” I’m sol? Come on man.
Some of the chains hold 200 people. So we can seat 100 at a time no worries. But some shitty dive bar that might get 20 people in an entire night can’t open at all.
Still stupid. Shut them all down if you’re serious about stopping this bug.
