Yes, I agree 100% with everything you wrote. My only point was that in many areas of the country, we see social distancing benefits already for those colds/flu with a shorter latent period. Which hopefully also ultimately results in a slower transmission rate for CV-19.

Reading Comprehension for the win! I said AMERICAN deaths in the Iraq war. Since we were talking about AMERICAN deaths from COVID, in the context of the political ramifications to the American elections.
With that said, if you want to do worldwide numbers, then yes, absolutely, worldwide we’re going to exceed the worldwide casualties from the Iraq War to everyone pretty soon too.

There were over 50 million deaths worldwide by the Spanish flu, possibly closer to 100 million. That was with 1/4 the current world’s population. This is not as severe, but more contagious.
