SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

nope - to children who are likely to be exposed and some health care workers TB is too rare here.

I got it because it was standard in the UK from 1953 to 2005, which I’d guess means I shouldn’t hold out great hope.

Yep. Idiotic idea.

My mom said she got the vaccine as a kid. She said it was like a multi vaccine for polio and TB. She said it was common back then so maybe she is confused.

She actually has a big scar on her arm from a reaction to the vaccine.

Anyways I hope shes right and it was the TB vaccine and it helps her because I’m pretty stressed about this.

The most common big scar vaccine is smallpox. She may have gotten either or both. What does the scar look like? (BCG is the TB vaccine)

I have a vaccine scar on my arm from a smallpox vaccine. They were still given out in parts of Europe in the 80’s so I got one shortly after I was born, I think they stopped doing them in the US sometime in the 70’s

LOL

Fake it until you make it.

Sometimes just going through the motions is enough to rev up the engine, but you have to give it a shot and see.

I also suggest something playful and relaxing, like a bath. Just get comfortable being in a possibly sexual situation in the midst of everything going on.

Or try something exciting. Introduce something out of the ordinary. You decide for yourselves what that would be, but for those with an SO who is GGG, this can be a healthy way to process all of that otherwise futile energy together. The point is to be intentional about sharing the experience and allowing yourselves a period of adjustment.

She said she had a Keloid reaction and it puffed up and they had to surgically remove it. It’s like a big indent now with scar tissue.

My grandpa was a dentist who lived next door to their primary car doctor. She said she got a bunch of vaccines.

No way to be sure but I’ll hope.

I watched a video about Elmhurst yesterday and everyone walking on the streets was wearing masks. Is it a rule in NYC yet?

No

People can make their own or wear scarves or bandanas. This should be heavily stressed, assuming competence. :(

While surgical masks are crunched they seem to be easier to procure than N95. Most people on the street in China aren’t wearing N95. Maybe @superuberbob can fill in about Czechoslovakia.

It seemed pretty obvious to me from over a month ago, that masks are good and necessary, and we were just not recommending to them because Americans are stupid and like to hoard things.

I’m gonna guess that if an existing TB innoculation made any difference just one bright doctor worldwide might have sussed now we’re 2+ months into the virus e.g. 99.9% of citizens in the UK will have detailed digitised medical records from birth so spotting any correlation is incredibly easy - we have over 1,000 deaths now so hardly need a supercomputer to rule out the validity of an innoculation loads of UK citrizens had (for free at school)

This nonsense (and similar “ideas”) are just so he can say he wanted to quarantine “places” or do whatever to save America but the dumb “experts” stopped him.

It was 24 hours on cardboard and that’s just some traceable virus, not clear if enough to really infect.

But still - my philosophy is if I don’t need it right away it sits. My mail and a few packages is piled up near the door. I still haven’t put away my fluff and fold from almost two weeks ago. Just grab stuff out of it as needed.

Of course I sort of live like this all the time so this is easy for me. Must be tough for OCD people who like to deal with things right away.

It’s like everything he says is designed for TV in like 3 years time - no one will remember or bother to look into the dateline that far down the road when this shit is aired in the future.

Like micro posted if you’ve had it you’ll have a circular scar at the top of an arm. Mine’s on my left and I’m right handed, but no idea if they did it consistently. I had it when I was old enough to remember it, around 9 I think.

I’m all about dubious conclusions! As long as 60-70% of them hit I feel good.
