If this trend stays linear on a log plot? Ten days.

Well this should be an interesting case study.

Yikes man I just saw one of my friends that has lupus, she’s 35 years old and has already had double hip replacement, and she was joking about how she is invincible to coronavirus because she’s been taking this drug for so long. She has extremely good health care and doctors so I assume she gets her supply but I don’t know.

I think they are staying in session until this bill passes, then they are out until April 20 (which is still laughable).

Yeah I saw that now. Was a bad tweet by that reporter.

Also for anyone in SA who wants to return to USA#1

My calcs a couple of days ago say 3/30 or 3/31.

I think/hope NYC inflects soon after that. But 3 days difference could be 8,000 vs 4,000/day.

Then the next hotspot will come up.

Also this article is concerning if not surprising. Between that and nursing home article above seems like it’s Puerto Rico all over again. Problem for Trump is that there are way too many witnesses this time.

Dude it’s not just the midwest. It might not be essential but they are really still asking sick doctors if they’ve been to China.

Except in red states which will see a big spike in undefined pneumonia deaths for some inexplicable reason. NBD though - just gonna get a ton more people killed by refusing to test.

500 new cases in Florida today. Shit is about to hit the fan down here.

Need numbers from the Villages in particular pls.

It’s crazy. He can get tested because he’s been to California. I’d be much more scared of someone from KC or St. Louis right now than from anywhere in California.

They aren’t testing at all. They’re like NYC was a few weeks ago. They have no idea how big the problem is until the hospitals get full.

Any social distancing really whacks the flu. All deaths above normal can legit tagged to CV. The dems and independent health experts.

So help me if this folks coming from SA just waltz out without mandatory quarantine. (And if I was in SA I’d say that goes double for anyone coming from the US)

Oklahoma is now on a shelter in place order with closings of non-essential businesses until April 15. Somehow, furniture stores in OKC have decided collectively that they are essential, even though they are not on the list that was added by the governor today.

People still talk and act like we live in a functional first world country. We don’t.

Sumter County went from 10 to 18 today. Let’s see what tomorrow brings!

Cases beginning to ramp up in Japan, following a holiday weekend full of mass public gatherings throughout the country.

Don’t be surprised if Japan starts to turn ugly soon.

He is somewhat controversial but his posts on CV have been good.

I’ve said this before, but there are so many elderly in Japan right now, it’s so densely populated. something just isn’t right with the numbers we’re seeing there unless they really have mastered the art of locking shit up during flu season.

Masks more than anything have kept the infection spread low in Japan so far.

But the low infection rate gave rise to a false sense of security. And now Japan is about to start paying for it.

The Mayor of Tokyo finally gave a directive for people to use “self-restraint” in avoiding non-essential activities this upcoming weekend.

It’s going to be too little too late.
