I don’t think that Bernie winning the nomination is the only chance for good policies to be enacted. While I think that Bernie can beat Trump, I can respect people who think that he can’t.
I would vote for Bernie over Biden in a primary. Where I disagree with the most ardent Sanders supporters are on claims that Bernie is the only one who can beat Trump, that Bernie is guaranteed to beat Trump, and that Warren is a non-progressive establishment Democrat. I also share AOC’s reported unease with the Joe Rogan fanbase that has been courted by Bernie and will consistently take shots at libertarian bros.

I’d try calling a local legal aid organization, New York should have plenty and they can likely point you in the right direction. If you can figure out who helps people pro bono in rent court, that’s the organization you want.

My wife and I offered to go shopping for our neighbor who recently lost her husband. She was basically like (in a positive way), “lol everyone thinks I’m some old, helpless lady now. I can take care of myself.”
She did thank us for our concern and said it was very sweet.

Why are the testing levels decreasing?
As a country we have an extreme shortage of tests because of Donny Dum Dum. My guess is an increase of rationing them.
I realize this should belong in the LC thread… I forget where I first saw it, but it made me laugh

Assange coronavirus bail request denied
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been denied bail from a British prison after his lawyers said he was at particular risk of catching the new coronavirus.
Assange suffered several respiratory tract infections while in the Ecuadorean embassy in London, his defence said, and if he caught the virus in prison “the risk could be fatal”.
But the judge at Westminster Magistrates’ Court rejected the request, saying the Australian’s past efforts to evade legal proceedings showed he might try to escape again if released.
“As matters stand today, this global pandemic does not as of itself provide grounds for Mr Assange’s release,” Judge Vanessa Baraitser said.
Currently in London’s Belmarsh prison, Assange is wanted for questioning in the US for allegedly hacking and publishing military databases. The 48-year-old says the charges are politically motivated.
