Somehow, Verily launched a website this morning, and for all the hype and promises that were made, the site in its current incarnation doesn’t provide any useful information or services. The site’s “Get started” button leads to a simple three-question multiple-choice survey that seems like it is meant to lead to some actual screening or medical info, but right now, it seems to turn everyone away no matter how the questions are answered.
Exception for US citizens for some reason.
With an exception for Americans I think Trudeau said which makes it kind of useless.
Edit: I do think there a good chance he will eventually include Americans in the Ban tho.
Who cares about all that, the numbers are INCREDIBLE!
Wonder how much of this closing borders is going to stick around.

Shit, I’m sorry I ended up missing that post. I hope that things work out for the best for your family.
I think this thread (or perhaps an offshoot?) might be a good place to kinda use as a sounding board because GermanGuy probably won’t be the only one going through hard times related to this. This is a fairly small, tight knit community and while we all have our differences, I’d be willing to put them aside if it means that fewer people here have to suffer in silence.

Any idea what manufacturing plants are doing? Lot of that in Germany, right?
My company (paper mills) has a plant in northern Italy and they’ve been running this whole time. At least they were Friday afternoon.
I hit up Walgreens’s, CVS, Publix and Winn Dixie in my lunch break. Zero TP to be found. This is on top of a Walmart visit in addition to a different Winn Dixie yesterday.
No idea when they will get more. CVS said they have a truck coming “next week,” while Publix has one coming “tomorrow.” But they have no idea whether or not tp will even be on the trucks.
I’m down to five rolls. I did manage to score Kleenex and paper towels.
I want to punch literally everyone I see right in the fucking face.

In my part of the country they are still working. We only have three cases out of 140,000 people in the county, though. I guess that will become more problematic once they have workers that have to quarantine or they start having supply chain issues.

Seriously let’s all use the coronavirus to evaluate our fiber intake, and wiping technique (which I do not want to discuss here, but I know some of ya’ll are using barbaric wiping technique)

I got 7 and then some. Even got some tissues as a backup. I mean that’s at minimum 2-3 months for me. Crazy that the first thing people think of when stocking up are their assholes.

I try to shit at work as much as possible but lately it got shifted to around six PM so I went from using barely any to using whatever it takes. But there are girls in my house and they have to use it every time they go, apparently. I’d guess 1 1/2 to 2 rolls a week we go through now, maybe more? lol girls
