SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

I’m in Indianapolis and had target delivered through Shipt easily today. Also check the Mexican grocery stores. They have a ton.

Yeah Walmart has cut back their hours. I think most close at 8:30 now:

I don’t know which suburb your in, but I’m downtown and everyone is taking it serious. No one out all day.

Just tell her that you are waiting for all the inventory caused by both people losing their jobs and dying.

I very much appreciate the advice but I am the WOAT at any kind of arts-and-crafts type stuff. Honestly, after all this time, I still can’t even roll a blunt. I also don’t have any tape or gauze or etc etc.

Went to an Aldi for I think the first time ever. They had zero sliced bread. I have all the sandwich materials except for bread!

nobody knows anything so that’s why some states have already shut everything non essential down. This is why I avoid people.

I see stuff like “closing hair salons” and am genuinely astonished any were still open to begin with.

Bread has been a tough one for me too. Finally got some but have used tortillas in a pinch which are in massive abundance in Texas.

That’s what they said about asbestos.

Someone earlier said they had a relative working at a hair Salon in a nursing home.

Plainfield. I’ve lived in Indianapolis proper most of my life and I hate hate hate the suburbs. I’ll use your recs, thanks!

DC just extended the school closures and ban on large gatherings until end of April. Not that this is news to anyone itt, but this is not ending anytime soon…

Bad data here FYI

Edit: Also ME is not 2.5% positives.

Supposedly PA was supposed to have non-essential shops locked down but my aunt said the nail salon was packed despite that. So it’s clear that a lot of people still aren’t taking this seriously.

My sister who lives a bit outside Philly says the same. Few people are giving a shit. I expect America to have this mindset in a month:

Five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates
Ain’t no time to wonder why
Whoopee! We’re all gonna die

I stole this and reposted it, hope you dont mind!

¯\__(ツ)_/¯

What I’ve noticed is that poor people that are totally fucked are staying inside and not spending money and rich people with good jobs are out there having the time of their life like nothing is happening, probably all giving each other coronavirus. My friend face timed me from the beach today and said there was like a bunch of families with kids out on the deck of one of the beach front homes having a party and I told him he should call the cops haha

So my father-in-law passed away an hour ago. For those of you who didn‘t read my post in the old thread: he had cancer with lung metastases and nothing corona-related. He thankfully died at home and early enough that all the healthcare system around him (hospice social worker, doctor, nurse) were not overwhelmed.
I wish all of us the best for what is about to come and am drinking a Lagavulin in his memory right now. Cheers!
