Yea I think I had it 2 weeks ago the more I think about it. I had a flu shot 2 months ago and when I got sick, it was sudden. I was at a restaurant the night before and when I woke up, I was coughing HARD. My back hurt, that’s how hard I was coughing. Then I had a fever of 102 for about 12 hrs. Fever went down and I stopped coughing 2 days later.
Stepmother recently unretired to do covid tracking for the health department. She said it’s pretty much everywhere by now. People who have tested positive had been going all over the county interacting with everybody and touching everything.
Call me crazy, but I think Trump and Pence’s attacks on “dishonest media” will bamboozle ( and win points with) lots of low info voters who only now give a fuck about news because they think they’re gonna die.
He’s handling things well. His daily press conferences are informative and reasonable. He strikes a balance of “yeah, be scared and take this seriously” with “stay calm, follow guidelines.”
I’m prob in the minority, but as much of a shitshow as this one was, I think all Trumpkins and a lot of low info disengaged folks will see it as Trump doing a good job.
Rule #1 of signing up to work for Trump is guaranteed humiliation and regret. I truly don’t get how smart people continue to think they’re so special they’ll avoid it.
This is my question. I have been making my kids walk the dog with me. We go a couple of blocks. When people come the other way (not uncommon) we keep six feet away from them (like I’ll move off the sidewalk onto the street). But if just one of those people has it, and breathes out right before we walk by space they were just in, could we breathe in and get it?
Similarly, I run at 5:30AM. I don’t pass close to many people, but cars do drive by. If the person in the car is a smoker, or even wearing heavy cologne, I can usually smell something. Is it possible for me to get this from someone driving by me in a car? I would have thought this was an insane question, maybe it still is.
I’m going to need to pick up prescriptions for one of my kids at Walgreens. My plan is to wear a mask and gloves. Gloves I will discard before coming back in the houe. I’m planning on leaving the prescriptions in my car for a day before bringing them into the house. Anything else I should do - change clothes after I get home? Take clothes off before entering home?
I really don’t have a feel for the line of how crazy is too crazy.
