SARS-CoV-2: Electric Superflu

Have to remember this incompetence is directly linked to actual people dying. Tens of thousands of them.

That was one thing I heard. Maybe it’s changed.

Course not. But 2800 is infinetely better than 1600 when it comes to getting food and essentials

Coworker’s daughter works in home taking care of olds. She called the office on Wednesday to see if she could pick up extra shifts, coughs on the phone while talking to the boss, boss says you need to go to the doctor and get a note that you don’t have CV before you come back to work. She takes the test yesterday, 5-7 days for results. Daughter lives with my coworker along with like 4 other people in the house.

Coworker was working in the office up until yesterday (I haven’t been in touch office since last Friday.)

I was going to run to the office to grab some monitors but think I’ll wait a few days.

Point of the story? WTF with 5-7 days for results? Don’t we have tests that can do it in 4 hours?

Is it monthly or one time?

The bottom line is unemployment was never intended to let relatively well-off people keep living a lifestyle where their expenses are say $6k/month - and I doubt any of this is either.

Those people in general should have a little more cushion or ultimately may have to scale back or go on credit cards for a while. With what I make if I wasn’t saving for a rainy day that would be irresponsible.

I know there’s a household making $101k with 5 kids and this is terrible for them. But in general I’m just saying you’re never going to have a social safety net for people making over $100k to keep living the exact same lifestyle.
