We have the same problem here, Canadian employment insurance isn’t really enough to live off. Thankfully we are taking some measures like mortgage deferrals, eviction prohibitions, etc. that might mean that as long as people can get food on the table they’ll be protected from losing their homes or having utilities shut off.
Well the doctor wanted to test her but said he’s not allowed because they have limited supply of tests. He seemed upset he couldn’t.
Only in America do we do expensive CT scans instead of $10 coronavirus tests.
She has spots on her lungs so in absence of being able to test, they are calling it bacterial pneumonia and gave her antibiotics. It’s frustrating because if it’s covid then antibiotics are more harmful than anything and won’t help at all.
If it is bacterial pneumonia then she’s at a higher risk now if she does get coronavirus since her lungs are already fighting off pneumonia.

This has bothered me recently too. They’ll say “I have two questions. First (something important), and second (how do you respond to (something way less important)?”. Then Trump instantly attacks the second part and goes on a rant, never answering the first, more important part.

This is so crazy and something that should be hung around Trump’s neck. There is no reason why we shouldn’t have more than enough testing capacity to test people who any rational person would suspect might have it.
