Seriously, what the fuck are you guys even doing? If this isn’t a snap ban, then there shouldn’t be any bans at all here (and I mean literally none, other than spam and horse porn or something). If that’s your position, that’s fine! There are several people who have taken that position, including some of those captains that you continue to complain about. But unless that’s your position, why don’t we leave this thread to discussing jmakin’s actions. Take your beefs somewhere else (or stop them entirely, for fucks sake).

not saying it wasn’t. I have publicly and repeatedly stated EXACTLY what happened. A big issue here is this idiot has been blasting very obvious lies that he knows are lies across multiple platforms now. I honestly don’t understand why you all take such issue with this crap but ignore or excuse his very obvious and quite extreme bullying behavior that I see across a lot of captains now, particularly targetted at my mental health (which btw started long before the abusive PM)
Like, ok. I never have claimed what I sent was right and in many many places now have done all I can to acknowledge it, take responsibility for sending it, apologize and sincerely tell you it’s not happening again. What do you want me to do? and honestly I’ve even stated here, which is conveniently ignored, the circumstances that led up to it. All I’m met with is blatant falsehoods, bad faith arguments, and the complete inability to even defend myself. The attacks on my mental health are particularly vicious because they happened at a time when I was publicly claiming I was in quite a vulnerable state.
I realize now this is really vicious cyberbullying. I acknowledge the PM I sent was abusive and not right. It shouldnt happen and I am not trying to excuse it. But this is NOT a one way thing and it is very, very very very VERY easy to prove that.
again, as I have always stated, if that’s the formal ban reason then let’s make it official. I also am pretty sure, which again I can’t prove, that I had other accounts banned based on an IP lookup before any of this happened. I’d bet my life on it.
also btw i have friends with PM’s already lined up that were equally or more abusive than the one I sent on 2p2, sent by people here. so if you wanna ban me for that youre gonna have to start banning some other people soon. Again, your guys’ choice, i already built my own discourse site. Not going to continue here anyway, no point, this isn’t salvageable at all.

it’s not a snap ban because your ilk have purposely been gaming this idiotic RFC system and the naive approach to moderating things here to make it practically impossible to ban anyone you deem “in.” do it through the process you guys have been screeching about and trying to use to your advantage for like a year now. that’s all I’m asking for and it really isn’t ridiculous at all.
pretty common tactic these guys use is editing posts after knowing they reached the intended target. only staff can view those. they also really like to move/delete posts when it’s convenient to their narrative. lots of historical stuff is just hopelessly tainted here, it’s not even worth going back and trying to figure out what happened. I’ve finally attempted to rectify this a bit by adding this site to the waybackmachine’s archiving and a few others i won’t mention, just so like, there’s a real point of reference to this behavior and you can call it out when needed. I shoulda done it a while ago but just didn’t care.
this wont even fix the turbo-edit shit they do, where they edit within ~5 mins or whatever once they know the right people saw the bullying/harassing/shitty message. But it’ll at least fix this rewriting of history crap I’ve been seeing for like a year now.
btw if you see a lot of edits from me, staff can verify, I’m just fixing grammar or tone and I like to write in flow of consciousness style, but a result of it is that i have to go back and edit several times. you can go back to literally a decade+ of my posting behavior and see this. it’s just how i am.

I have a serious question: wtf is a captain? (I don’t need a military lecture in the context of the forum I mean)
a while ago there was a PM that was made public by jmakin using his admin capabilities he was trusted upon. It was titled something with captains. It became something used by one group to negatively describe the other while the other decided to embrace it in an ironic or non ironic way, depends on your point of view.
Before that, Sabo, who is often silly/weird/eccentric started a forum with “Captains” in the title. It was not widely used, mostly I think because people thought the Captains thing was goofy.
Probably not relevant at all but since y’all have stalked me, Micro has visited me in person at my old job as an actual boat captain (not stalking, we had communicated about it) - so ya name is probably just a coincidence right? LOL.
Sabo made it up and it was based on some weird fiction he’s into and has mentioned lots of times over the years.
