lol OK, so just your fevered imagination. Good luck with your impeachment efforts.

@BestOf

It seems to me the facts are simple, he admits he did it, and that he might do it again. Nobody seems to debate that. So the only question is does it rise to the level of demodding or is there some other alternative?

The only alternative floated seems to be contrition and agreeing not to do it again, which seems like a non-starter for SK.

So it seems to me that this discussion is only going to cause more drama and polarization, and arguing in this thread isnā€™t changing any minds.

It seems the best thing for the community is to move forward as quickly as possible to a vote, so this can be in the rearview one way or another sooner rather than later.

In the mean time going in circles bickering seems unproductive, but I will stop short of making any requests about othersā€™ posting as I know Iā€™m personally barred from doing so.

What I will suggest is that both Wookie and Keeed should mutually agree to waive the requirements for an RFC timeline and skip ahead to the next step, a vote, in the interest of minimizing the bickering in the meantime.

I donā€™t think anyone benefits from dragging this out across 2 weeks or whatever the RFC rules say, and as long as both sides agree, why not fast track it?

Sorry, you need an RFC to change the RFC process.

Another 2 days or so and then a poll can be posted by an admin ITT that needs to be open for some set amount of time in order to agree on the wording for the real poll.

You havenā€™t been here for a long time and should acquaint yourself fully with the RFC process before suggesting bypassing it for the sake of convenience.

Hi Jalfrezi. Iā€™m going to suggest that you please consider either being kind in your responses to Commonwealth or, in the alternative, not respond to him at all.

Nothing about that post was unkind.

Earlier today keeed committed to working within the rules an not unhiding his own posts in the future.

No further action or discussion is needed imo.

Where was that? I missed it.

.

Like turning the offending post into a banner, ldo.

(Actually, no idea if a mod can do that).

sure, fast track it, idgaf

Well thatā€™s a positive development at least. The wording of ā€œthere are other solutions,ā€ doesnā€™t necessarily fill me with confidence the way, ā€œI will work within the rules,ā€ would, but itā€™s better than nothing and should factor into peopleā€™s votes, if this comes to a vote.

Thereā€™s one side, thatā€™s good IMO. I propose that if @MrWookie agrees, assuming he still wants to move forward with the vote, that there be two votes combined into one post: one to give community approval for fast-tracking, and one for the actual vote.

That way itā€™s not like three people are overriding a rule tri-laterally. If the first vote fails, the standard timeline could be followed.

Part of the reason the RFC system exists is so that we donā€™t have to make up new rules on the fly like this.

Who are you and what have you done with goofy?

I purposely did not take a side on the initial issue, seeking to avoid that drama. So Iā€™m not taking a side on dropping the vote vs. proceeding either. My only thing was, why bicker in circles for a week or whatever the rules say, when we know nothing good is going to come from the bickering?

But Iā€™m not allowed to ask people to just stop for a week until the vote, as Iā€™d face a ban, nor do I expect anyone to listen to meā€¦ So I was trying to come up with another way to try to calm temperatures and speed this along that perhaps both sides would find amenable.

Seeing as that doesnā€™t seem to be the case, Iā€™ll see myself out of this thread.

This already seems to have fizzled out and reached the phase where @d2_e4 and I trade goofs about the musical Cats.

Which I am now tempted to go see, despite my general aversion to musicals.

I think we can close the issue and revisit if this or some other abuse of power happens in the future.
