I think we’re in the mix in Texas too, but the GOP files suits to toss Dem ballots for sport.
Lol ‘hated by the left’ is the first fact in his bio. Love how that is the most overwhelming form of clout now for right wingers.
It’s also in play in GA, NC, AZ, NV, and VA before them.
It’s also part of why the rust belt is shifting to the right, though, so it’s not all fun and games.
Yeah, if I didn’t know about it already and read the directions carefully, I would not have put the ballot in the second envelope. I get why they have that system, but the penalty of throwing out your ballot if you mess up is just stupid.
Wrong red states. They’re moving to big cities in Sun Belt red states with good weather and a low cost of living. Vegas, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta.

It doesn’t even have to be generational wealth per se. As a kid I thought we were middle class but really we were lower middle class living in debt to pass ourselves off as middle class, which is to say I’ll likely inherit $0 to $20K. But despite that lack of generational wealth, my parents have always been there with income as a backup safety net if I needed some money or to move back in.
So I’d never be in a spot to commit a crime of economic desperation.
BAH GAWD that’s Julie Oliver’s music!
Nixon.
Did it ever get to this point though? People with Nixon flags running campaign busses off the road?
That’s a good one, I forgot about the Hard Hat Riots, but it seems worth noting that Nixon won a sweeping re-election and was only ousted under threat of conviction in the Senate.
This still meets the academic criteria for wealth (or at least resources) and specifically generational wealth.
It’s a whole thing with rigorous peer-reviewed work behind it, similar to the history of progress in civil rights and economic benefits in this country being nearly universally a product of organizing outside of elections. ;)
Conversationally, it’s more like resources because when my parents pass little/nothing will be passed down. I’m hoping nothing, because it means they lived more than 10 years from now.
Academically, resources can be passed down throughout a lifetime and I imagine scholars are defining it as anything above like subsistence level resources from 0-18?
I think the bigger value is being able to take chances and having the safety net, as opposed to the resources themselves. But that’s a whole other discussion.
I’d be in for an election night discord. I could drag my genteel Strayan accident in there and everyone would be like “who’s the British guy”.
Sorry cuse, sorry riverman, I nominate jman pole moral officer.
I’m gonna be drinking, following twitter, posting, watching 3 tv channels, and texting. And two butch girls who probably hate trump just moved in next door. Ain’t gonna have time for discord.
Deplorable tears sweeten anything.
